Taste of Country

OMG delicious lunch. We aren’t from this area so had not much to choose from. Sooooo glad we picked this place they were busy. We waited awhile but we didn’t mind the food was fresh sliced and made. We got to customize our sandwiches which was nice. The bun had to be fresh made. Because that’s how it tasted. Only downfall we don’t live close to:(.

Didn't think to snap pics of food until it was too late because it was all so yummy and quality that we gobbled it all up too fast. We were passing thru on our way up to ski at SnowTrails and needed to eat ..this was a perfect stop! Note that they were QUICK!! It was a sit down experience that kept us back out onto the road. My son got the Cinnamon French toast and said that other places would have charged $8-10 for that fabulous plate of quality French toast but it was only $5!! Hubs and other son said the sausage gravy and biscuits was really good/perfect and even the biscuits were delicious plain..not too dry like some. I had the 2 egg plate with bacon which was good too! And it's a cute little general store as well so adorable all around. We were pleasantly impressed. Recommended!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Got a "Hen House" Carving Board Specialty sandwich which was Turkey, Ham & Roast Beef with choice of toppings, condiments and Cheese. Ordered carryout and the service was prompt. But the star was the sandwich. It was delicious!! Toppings were fresh, and meat was plentiful. Highly recommend and I believe any of the sandwiches would be equally as good!!

Stopped for a treat. The turtle sundae was good, no nuts, way too much caramel and chocolate sauce. They have a nice selection of camping food; some produce, fresh eggs, milk, frozen meats from a local butcher, baked goods, some spices and canned stuff, deli counter. I'd stop again if in the area but not go out of my way like I did this time. And by the way, it's okay to be short staffed, not okay to acknowledge customers waiting.

A quaint store and deli with seating inside and lots of quick grabs. The food selection is optimal with a tasty homemade flare. The staff is friendly and very attentive.
