About Taste of China

Welcome to Taste of China, a Chinese restaurant with a history of serving delicious cuisine to the Rhode Island community. Now situated at 567 S County Trail #109 in Exeter, RI 02822, USA, Taste of China has relocated from its previous long-standing location on Main Street in East Greenwich. This move to a more "out of the way and off the beaten path" location, as described by a loyal customer, suggests that the quality of their food has cultivated a following that is willing to travel to enjoy their offerings.

While specific details about the current environment of the Exeter location are not provided in the reviews, the fact that a customer who has been a patron for many years continues to visit indicates that the ambiance is likely comfortable and conducive to a pleasant dining experience, whether for takeout or potential dine-in service. The restaurant's history in East Greenwich suggests an established presence and likely a welcoming atmosphere that has contributed to its loyal customer base.

The services at Taste of China include both takeout and potentially dine-in options. One reviewer mentioned that they stop by every time they are back in town, implying the availability of both services. To confirm the availability of dine-in, takeout, or any other specific services, you can contact Taste of China directly at (401) 295-8886 or their mobile number +1 401-295-8886. Their continued operation after relocating suggests a commitment to serving their customers with their well-regarded Chinese cuisine.

A significant feature of Taste of China, according to a long-time customer, is the exceptional quality of their food, with one reviewer boldly proclaiming it the "Best Chinese food in Rhode Island." This strong endorsement highlights the potential for a truly satisfying culinary experience. The reviewer specifically recommends starting with the "D1" dish and the "pork lomain," suggesting these are standout items on their menu and representative of the delicious flavors that Taste of China offers. This personal recommendation from a returning customer can be valuable for those trying Taste of China for the first time.

However, it is important to note a recent review that provides a contrasting experience. This customer expressed significant disappointment with their order, stating that the "Crab Rangoons" were "dry with mostly air" and the "rice" was "tasteless." This negative feedback suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality of certain dishes or perhaps an off day in the kitchen. The reviewer's statement that it was their "First time ordering here and last" indicates a strong negative initial impression. This feedback should be considered alongside the more enthusiastic review to provide a balanced perspective on the current quality of Taste of China's food.

Given the conflicting recent reviews, it is difficult to definitively assess the current overall quality without more information. The strong positive endorsement from a long-time customer suggests that Taste of China has the potential to deliver excellent food, while the negative recent experience indicates that there may be inconsistencies or issues that need to be addressed. Potential customers might want to consider these differing opinions when deciding to try Taste of China and perhaps pay particular attention to the recommended dishes (D1 and pork lo mein) if they do.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. To inquire about any specials, discounts, or promotions that Taste of China may be offering, it is best to contact them directly at (401) 295-8886. They would be able to provide the most up-to-date information on their menu and any current deals they might have to attract both new and returning customers to their Exeter location.

In conclusion, Taste of China in Exeter, RI, comes with a strong reputation from its previous location in East Greenwich, with one loyal customer considering it the "Best Chinese food in Rhode Island" and recommending the D1 dish and pork lo mein. However, a recent review expressed significant dissatisfaction with the crab rangoons and rice. This mixed feedback suggests that while Taste of China has the potential to offer excellent Chinese cuisine, there may be inconsistencies in quality. Potential customers are encouraged to consider both perspectives and perhaps try the highly recommended dishes while being mindful of the recent negative feedback. For the most accurate information on their menu, services, and any promotions, please contact Taste of China at (401) 295-8886 or visit them at 567 S County Trail #109 in Exeter, RI.

If there was a half a star option that's what I would rate it. Crab Rangoons dry with mostly air, and rice tasteless. First time ordering here and last, was very disappointed.

Best Chinese food in Rhode island...was on main Street East Greenwich for many years until moving to it's Exeter location. It's kinda out of the way and off the beaten path but totally worth the drive. Every time I'm back in town I stop here. If you don't know what to get start with the D1 and pork lomain.
