Recent customer reviews indicate significant concerns about the quality of food and service at Taste of China. One former regular customer noted a decline in food quality over recent visits. They reported that the once perfectly fried chicken wings are now over-fried, dry, and too salty. Additionally, they expressed disappointment with the overall quality of their recent order, including cold steamed dumplings, and described the service as poor, with the order taker exhibiting a negative attitude.
Another reviewer described both the food and service as "terrible." They specifically mentioned uncooked tofu and raw carrots. This customer also pointed out issues with the restaurant's online presence, stating that the website is not updated, customers are required to pay in person even for online orders, and the prices charged are consistently higher than those listed online. They further characterized the staff as rude, loud, and having difficulty with English communication, and described the food as dry and lacking taste, advising others to avoid the restaurant.
Based on these recent reviews, potential customers should be aware of the reported issues concerning food quality, service, and potential discrepancies in online information and pricing at Taste of China.

This place used to be really good. Very fresh food and great prices. The chicken wings used to be fried to perfection, crispy and juicy. The last three times I've gone , they were over-fried, dry and too salty. None of the food I ordered yesterday was particularly good. How to serve cold steamed dumplings? SMH. And the lady taking the order has a bad attitude, like you are bothering her by giving her business. I will not be back.
Terrible service, terrible food. The tofu is uncooked the carrots are raw, absolutely pathetic. Their website is not updated and you have to pay there even if you order online and the prices are always HIGHER than what's on their website. The chinese female is rude, loud and doesn't speak English .Their food is dry and lacks taste. Avoid it like the virus
Perfect on-the-go Chinese spot for my lunch break or a late night study sesh. Their food is reasonably priced given the amount of food they give - one lunch special will last me all day! I arrived during peak lunch hour and ordered on the spot, and waited max. 10 mins for my food. Very impressive considering many folks were also waiting and ordering during that time, but they got everyone in and out quickly. They also have plenty of seating, but it’s more like a takeout-then find a table to seat yourself at-then eat & take out your own trash (it’s kinda cafeteria style if that makes sense). Though, I happen to love that kind of seating arrangement. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and need a Chinese food fix!
Great food with very reasonable prices and healthy sized portions. The place is always clean and the staff are nice and even remember what I order. Good vegetarian options. Ialways get bean curd and broccoli which is not on the menu but it didn't phase them at all and everything is prepared quickly for those hangry days. pro-tip: be nice and you'll get nice in return. Remember that this pair run 12 hour days for a full week.
Got the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce and Ma Po Tofu. Food was definitely affordable, considering the other options around town. It’s worth going to just for that. The eggplant was good, but could have been cooked a little longer (but I like to when the eggplant melts in my mouth like butter). It was a tad firm as is. A bit of spice, garlic, and green onions would bring this dish up to a near perfect dish, as well. The mapo tofu was good, but the tofu could have been cut into smaller pieces or could have used a more silken tofu. The ratio to tofu and sauce per bite would be better this way. More sauce or a cornstarch could be used so that the sauce sticks to the tofu better. Spice, garlic, and green onions would do well here too. Overall, great bargain for a decent meal. Could be so much better with a few tiny adjustments. I will be returning here in the future.
