About Taste of Asia - Suncoast Hotel Las Vegas

Taste of Asia, located within the Suncoast Hotel in Las Vegas, offers local diners a taste of authentic Chinese cuisine. As a Chinese Restaurant, it provides a range of dishes and services for those seeking a flavorful dining experience.

Based on recent customer feedback, the restaurant is particularly known for its lunch special. Priced at around $14 after tax, it includes a generously sized bowl of soup, with the hot and sour soup being highlighted as very authentic. The lunch special also features substantial main dishes, such as the Sweet Basil eggplant, which one reviewer found to be amazing and a new culinary discovery. The portion sizes for the lunch special appear to be notably generous, with a large plate for the main course and a larger-than-usual soup bowl.

The environment of Taste of Asia is described as relaxing. However, some customers have noted an occasional issue with cigarette smoke drifting in from the casino, which can detract slightly from the overall atmosphere. Despite this, the ambiance is generally considered pleasant.

In terms of service, reviewers have generally found the waiters to be attentive and the service to be good. The restaurant also stands out for its extensive selection of flower teas and other drinks, providing a variety of choices to complement the meal.

While some dim sum dishes may be reheated during dinner service, the regular dishes are consistently described as delicious and cooked properly. This suggests that while the lunch experience is highly recommended, the dinner experience might vary depending on the specific dishes ordered.

One minor point of feedback is the absence of fortune cookies at the end of the meal, a tradition that some customers miss, as it has become less common in Las Vegas Chinese restaurants post-COVID-19.

For those looking for a Chinese restaurant in Las Vegas with a praised lunch special, a wide variety of dishes, and attentive service, Taste of Asia at the Suncoast Hotel presents a viable option. You can contact them at (702) 636-7111 or +1 702-636-7111. The restaurant is located at 9090 Alta Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89144, USA.

I went there for the lunch special it came out to $14 after tax I got a nice sized bowl of soup the hot and sour soup was very authentic then I got the Sweet Basil eggplant dish it was amazing and I never tried this dish before the environment is relaxing the only issue is when I was eating I would get wiffs of the cigarette smoke from the casino otherwise the atmosphere would be four stars. The plate was a big Plate not a normal sized plate 🍽 and the bowl of soup was larger than most lunch specials.

The food is not bad but not outstanding. Good thing is that they have plenty of choices for different flower teas and drinks. Had lunch twice here and the most recent is the dinner. Don’t suggest coming here for dinner at night since some Dim-sums are obviously reheated. The dishes are always delicious and cooked properly though. Good service and attentive waiters though. Only disappointment is that no fortune cookies at the end of the meal, again, after Covid 19, very few Chinese restaurants in vegas still keep the fortune cookie tradition.

First time and definitely won’t be the last! We enjoyed our food! Will slowly try everything in their menu. Update: Fried rice is not the yang chow I’m looking for. Noodles are pretty good but needs a slight more flavor for the beef and the servings are on the smaller side. Salt and pepper pork chops are good Boba is delicious Xiao long bao is delicious

My wife was craving salt and pepper pork and I didn’t feel like driving so DoorDash it was. It was my first time ordering from Taste of Asia and I had never actually dined in at the restaurant before. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the roast duck. I personally think it’s one of the best roast ducks I have tried. The salt and pepper pork chop hit the spot for my wife; I didn’t like it so much though. The chow mein was pretty Al dente and actually contained a lot of meat which is unheard of in today’s day and age. I highly recommend getting takeout from Taste of Asia and will be ordering from them anytime I am craving Chinese food now.
