Tao Northern Chinese Cuisine

We’d been curious about this restaurant for a while, so we finally decided to give it a try. It seems to cater more to locals, and overall, the experience was mediocre. Our favorite dishes were the lettuce wraps with chicken and the crispy beef—both well-priced and enjoyable. The garlic shrimp and fried rice were okay; the shrimp had a nice garlic flavor but was a bit under-seasoned, so I had to ask for some salt. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming.

We just ordered ginger scallion chicken and black bean beef from this restaurant, and honestly, it was awful. They barely put any protein—just a bunch of veggies. There was hardly enough for me and my fiancé. Definitely never ordering from here again. Plus, they didn’t even mention that they add green peppers on the skip app, and the amount they put on each plate is ridiculous. Just a heads-up, guys!

The Chicken Spring Rolls were next to grace our table; their golden, crispy exteriors revealing a delectable filling that married the playful textures of perfectly seasoned chicken with the earthy crunch of fresh vegetables. Tao's Chicken Fried Rice danced on our palates, a whirlwind of flavors that united smoky, caramelized notes with the tangy sweetness of pineapple. The Lemon Chicken was a true masterpiece, as if Da Vinci himself had crafted the dish. Tender, succulent pieces of chicken were lightly battered, then bathed in a vibrant lemon sauce that dazzled the senses with its perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The Pepper Beef left us utterly speechless, with its tender morsels of beef that melted in our mouths, juxtaposed against the fiery heat of black pepper and the delicate sweetness of caramelized onions. Throughout our epicurean escapade, we were guided by the ever-charming Lambert, whose genuine warmth and attentiveness elevated our dining experience to celestial heights. The ever-vigilant Manager Jackie ensured that every detail of our evening unfolded seamlessly, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the culinary wonderland that is Tao Northern Chinese Cuisine. The food was mostly fine (nothing special; we had a piece of bone in a chicken dumpling, but that’s probably the supplier). The service was abysmal. We order for delivery 4 hours in advance. The driver informed us that the restaurant was filling other pickup orders for the same items any deliberately delaying ours. I called the restaurant. They were incredibly rude and refused to give a timeline. I called back and someone else answered and assisted us within 5 minutes. Overall, my impression of this place is that they are disorganized, inefficient, and rude. It was a very regrettable experience.

The food was really good!! We were four people and shared like 5 dishes plus some starters- was delicious and also very cheap and they were so nice. I would definitely recommend :)
