Tandoor palace

Nice restaurant with train setting in one area but food is ok. Service was good. Visiting once for experience is ok but dinner food was ok. We ordered tandoori fish which did not have any salt. Butter chicken was horrible, no taste at all. Naan and gulab jamun was ok. Chai was good. They made sure everything is nice and hot but unfortunately taste was below average.

I came to eat an Indian food buffet here for the first time. It was a weekday around noon and all the food was amazing. I loved the Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala and the Fried Papadum and Mint Chutney. The staff were very attentive and the view from the train gave a nice atmosphere.

The items are a bit pricey which is not worth the food. I didn't try the buffet they have in the afternoon because I went a bit late at 4:00 p.m. I ordered egg fried rice which isn't in their menu but they told they will make it which was good. The staff aren't much helpful the tables are really small if you are a people of four to adjust on the small table it's really hard. The restaurant is good to see from outside like a train themed but from inside it just looks normal. Not much difference. Quantity wise the food is okay but I feel they could increase the quantity for the price they are charging. Parking is abundantly available. I didn't like the gratitude they added just for four people. I see restaurants adding gratuity for six people but these people added just for four people. I think they really need to change this.

The only reason I could see people rating this place less than 5 stars is it's a little worn, in appearance. I got the tandoori chicken half size and it came with four pieces of chicken and a grilled lemon on a bed of fried cabbage. It was sizzling hot when they brought it out! I never had tandoori chicken before so I might not be the best judge, but it was delicious. Well seasoned with the tiniest of kick. Squeezing the lemon on brightened up the flavor and it came with two sauces on the side. I think one was kind of a barbecue sweet sauce and the other a slightly spicy cilantro sauce. I had a great time!

Really good food, nice setting. Highly recommended. The owner was nice. There is plenty of space. Staff was nicer than what we usually see in Indian restaurants.
