Taj Mahal is excellent. The buffet never disappoints with its wide variety of delicious and colorful foods. This eatery offers a genuine taste of India with a pleasant interior ambiance, and staff are always happy to refill a drink or answer questions.

Their food is extremely flavorful. When you tell them to make it spicy, they don't hold back! Don't be put off by the lack of people in their dining room. It appears that the vast majority of their business is takeout.

Salaamu Alaikum. My family are Moorish-American Moslems from Mexico and new to the area. I picked up an order while working for a delivery service and I smelled the food and it smelled divine. So I brought my family back to have a meal and I ordered extra spicy Curry Goat and Roti. Oh my! It was absolutely delicious, my 2 year old baby girl was eating it! So good. I would recommend 1000 times over. The service is absolutely phenomenal, I will bring my family from California and all around here when they come to visit. It’s halal too! I shouldn’t have to mention, but it’s Halal, so good for your stomach too…prepared in the name of God and served with Love.

In service I don’t want to give 1 star even. Minar IS FAR BETTER THAN THIS. SERVICE IS TOTALLY PATHETIC. WORST SERVICE. EXTRA SMART PEOPLE. THE BILL THEY GIVE LOOKS LIKE THIS. ONLY TWO BITES LEFT ,THE ATTENDER CAME TO ME SAID “WE ARE CLOSED, SO OKAY” . I MEAN HOW CAN YOU GIVE THIS TONE IN SERVICE INDUSTRY. TWO BITES LEFT IN MY PLATES. TAJ MAHAL IS ARE CHEAP SERVICE RESTAURANT WITH HIGH BILL. ALSO,THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU BILL, WHEN I ASKED FOR BILL SHE SAID “I NEED THAT,YOU CAN TAKE PICTURE”. I MEAN SERIOUSLY THEY GIVE YOU NO BILL, THEY SAY YOU CAN TAKE PICTURE OF THE BILL . SO THIS IS THE IMAGE. SMELLY MANGO CHUTNEY. MINAR is awesome. Minar gives you 3 types of chutney with papad as complementary. NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PATHIC SERVICE RESTAURANT. WORK ON YOUR SERVICE AND FOOD QUALITY. This is one of two Indian restaurants in Utica area. They offered buffet before the covid pandemic but not now. Taj Mahal is a Halal restaurant and offers wide selection of Indian dishes. Their mixed grilled, tandoori chicken and beef curry dishes are good. Their meat samosa is good too. They prepared their food really quick and always fresh and hot. Prices are fair.
