About Taiwan Deli

Customer Reviews
Step into a cozy little slice of Taiwan where the aromas alone will have you swooning before you even see the menu. This spot serves up authentic Taiwanese cuisine that’s as close to a plane ticket as you can get without leaving the country. From the first bite, you'll know you’re in for something special—think flavorful broths, perfectly cooked noodles, and a legendary popcorn chicken that the chef himself personally brings out, fried and seasoned to perfection. But the real star of the show? Jennifer, the hostess extraordinaire. She's like your personal culinary guide, helping you navigate the menu with ease and making sure your dining experience is top-notch. Whether you're a Taiwanese food aficionado or a newbie, Jennifer’s attentiveness and spot-on recommendations will have you feeling like you’ve unlocked a hidden gem. Trust her suggestions; she knows her stuff, and your taste buds will thank you.
The food was good. Very fresh tasting and satisfying. Portions were reasonably shareable in size. Nothing tasted too greasy or over-sauced. The whole atmosphere was great, you may have to share some spots with other customers cause it's a semi-small store. Everything was a 10/10 with also informative postings around the shop indicating a 3% fee for credit card users. Which was fine. But when the bill came there was a 15% mandatory gratitude fee added onto the total bill making a meal that's supposed to be breakfast (cause I came around 10 am) ridiculously expensive. I don't know if the recent policy applies to all states but there was a recently established policy for restaurants where mandatory gratitude is no longer allowed. So in total, I paid for 2 food items and 2 drinks came out to be $50 breakfast meal...kind of not worth it in my opinion.
It’s been a minute since we have had good authentic Taiwanese food. This one definitely hits the spot! We walked in on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm and we were the only customers there. We ordered the salted rice roll, hot and spicy wontons, squid fishball soup and stinky tofu. Our food came out promptly and they were delicious!
My family is from Taiwan and I was craving Taiwanese food hard, and had saved this spot and finally got to try! I tried the popcorn chicken, pork chop rice, sausage, xiao long bao soup dumplings, pickled cabbage, milk tea, and hubby got chrysanthemum tea. Every dish had authentic Taiwanese flavors - a taste of Taiwan in every bite. PS - thank you to our server Jennifer for making our first time here great! If you're craving authentic Taiwanese flavors in Vegas, this Taiwanese restaurant and deli is the spot to hit.
11/2023: I came back in Nov 2023 and was disappointed. Met my brother's family here, and the food was not up to the previous visit's level. I was embarrassed because I raved about this place in front of my family after I had been there 3 months prior. I will come back next time when I am in town again. I hope to have better luck next time. Because I am still hopeful. 9/2023: We found this location online and came for brunch on Sunday. I have not had Taiwanese food for years, and I was looking forward to trying their offerings. I ordered a little too much for myself and got Taiwanese meat ball, spicy dried Tofu with anchovies, Taiwanese meat sauce over rice with hardboiled egg, and YiMei rice roll with mustard green. I was truly 眼大肚子小 at this point 😂 My companions ordered 4 more items, and we had a table full of goodies. The food was pretty good and very similar to Taiwanese street food taste. I packaged up the leftover and kept thinking next time, we should come with a cooler with ice to get some of these home to AZ. We definitely will be back next time we are in town. EDIT: They do post by the tableside that they charge a 3% fee for non-cash transactions, so pay cash if you wish to avoid it.
