About Szechuwan Garden

Szechuwan Garden is a Chinese restaurant located at 1932 E Rte 66 in Glendora, California. Operating within the platform category of Chinese Restaurants, Szechuwan Garden has garnered positive feedback, particularly for its food quality, generous portions, and efficient delivery service. They can be contacted at (626) 335-9055 or +1 626-335-9055 for inquiries or to place orders.

As a Chinese restaurant in Glendora, Szechuwan Garden appears to have built a loyal customer base, with one reviewer stating they have ordered from the restaurant "often" and consistently experienced "good food great service" along with "always prompt delivery." This long-term positive experience suggests a reliability and consistency in their offerings and service that local users might find appealing.

One standout dish, according to a highly enthusiastic reviewer, is the Mongolian Beef. Described as "so delicious, fresh & tender, almost buttery," this dish has become a "go to meal" for this customer. They also appreciate the option to request extra onions at no additional charge. Notably, the Mongolian Beef is praised for never being oily or over-salted, indicating a careful preparation that focuses on flavor and quality. The portions are described as "packed full to the top," often providing enough for dinner, a lunch the next day, and even leftovers for other uses like homemade spring or egg rolls or a snack. This highlights the exceptional value and generous servings that Szechuwan Garden offers.

The sides of rice, available in white or a non-oily "fried" version, are also commended for being "packed full," hot, and fresh, and are priced affordably at $2. This contributes to the overall value of a meal from Szechuwan Garden, where a customer can get a substantial amount of food for around $20. The delivery service is also highlighted, with a "very sweet smiling older gentleman" often delivering the food quickly and "steaming hot," adding a personal and positive touch to the delivery experience.

Another dish that receives high praise is the Mapo Tofu, which one reviewer enjoys without meat. This indicates that Szechuwan Garden is willing to accommodate dietary preferences. Customers are also encouraged to request a free side of their delicious hot sauce, suggesting a flavorful accompaniment that enhances their dishes.

Interestingly, one reviewer, who claims to have "been all around the world and tried food everywhere," surprisingly ranks Szechuwan Garden in their top 5 all-time favorites. This exceptional endorsement speaks volumes about the quality and taste of their food. However, this reviewer notes that they have never dined inside the restaurant and always opt for delivery, meaning they cannot comment on the interior ambiance. Despite this, the consistent positive experiences with the food and delivery service make Szechuwan Garden a highly recommended option for takeout and delivery in the Glendora area.

One point of concern raised by a long-term customer is a recent change in their remote ordering process. This reviewer found the personnel handling these orders to be "not knowledgeable of pricing and/or coupons specials etc ." This suggests a potential issue with the efficiency or accuracy of their new remote ordering system, which could lead to frustration for customers trying to utilize promotions or get accurate pricing information over the phone. Local users opting for phone orders might need to be mindful of this potential issue and perhaps clarify pricing and any applicable discounts at the time of ordering.

Despite this concern regarding the remote ordering process, the overwhelming feedback focuses on the delicious food, generous portions, and prompt delivery service. The Mongolian Beef and Mapo Tofu appear to be signature dishes that are highly recommended. The value for money, considering the quantity and quality of food received, is also a significant positive aspect highlighted by customers.

Since one reviewer has only used their delivery service, there is no direct information available regarding the environment or ambiance of the Szechuwan Garden restaurant itself. Local users interested in dining in would need to visit the location to assess the atmosphere. However, for those primarily seeking takeout or delivery, the positive reviews suggest a reliable and satisfying experience.

There is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews, apart from the past experiences of one reviewer who utilized a "Buy 10 orders, get a free noodle" promo (which has since been discontinued) and the current recommendation to ask for a free side of their delicious hot sauce. Local users should inquire directly with the restaurant about any current specials or coupons that might be available, keeping in mind the potential knowledge gap reported with the remote ordering personnel.

In conclusion, Szechuwan Garden in Glendora stands out as a Chinese restaurant that prioritizes delicious food, generous portions, and prompt delivery service. Highly recommended dishes include their Mongolian Beef and Mapo Tofu. While there is a reported issue with the knowledge of pricing and specials with the new remote ordering process, the overall customer experience, especially for takeout and delivery, seems to be overwhelmingly positive. For local users in Glendora seeking a reliable Chinese restaurant with excellent food and efficient service, Szechuwan Garden is definitely worth trying. To inquire about their menu, delivery options, or any current promotions, they can be contacted at (626) 335-9055.

If I could give 10 stars I would! This restaurant really knows what it’s doing! The Mongolian beef is so delicious, fresh & tender, almost buttery. (I like it with extra onions- free) it is never oily or over salted.. it is absolutely a go to meal for me! They pack it full to the top, so there’s enough to have for dinner, a lunch bowl the next day and possibly even enough for a few homemade spring or egg rolls or another snack. The sides of rice, white or “fried” but not oily, are $2 & packed full too and is hot & fresh. So for $20 You get a lot of food! Pick it up or have it delivered by a very sweet smiling older gentleman, it always arrives fast and steaming hot! The mapo tofu, (I like it without the meat) is also delicious! Also, request a little side of the hot sauce, it’s free and delicious. I’ve been all around the world and tried food everywhere and surprisingly enough, This little place down the road is in my top 5 all time favorites! I cannot comment on the inside ambience as I have never been there. I always just order it for delivery. But it’s definitely a go to. You should try! :)

Hidden gem and shocked that not that many people here during lunch special. The prices are the cheapest I've seen in a while and the flavors are delicious. Will definitely come here again, and again. I got the Schizuan eggplant with fried rice.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED. The food looked really good. However, it did NOT taste how it looked. It was extremely bland with no redeeming qualities and to top off our “experience” there was a hair in my lo mein. Their restaurant wasn’t that clean either.

Location: Good, Parking:Okay, Service: Very Good, Food for price: Very Good, Overall: This was a first time try and I can say I was very impressed. The one great notice was the meat, tender and delicious. According to one or the servers the owner gets the meat daily which to me says allot. The only minor ding would be the fried rice as it seemed not as firm as other mixes of similar nature. The big question on whether I would come back is pretty simple. Yes I did enjoy the food and will be back many more times....
