About Szechuan Delight

For those in US considering ordering Chinese meal delivery for someone in Brooklyn, NY, USA, Szechuan Delight is a local Chinese Restaurant that offers dine-in, takeout, and potentially delivery services. It specializes in Szechuan cuisine and has received contrasting feedback from customers.

One recent reviewer had a significantly negative experience, claiming to have found a whole bug in their mother's sauce. They also reported that the wontons were stale and made their mother sick, expressing strong dissatisfaction and mentioning potential legal action. This review raises serious concerns about food safety and quality control.

Conversely, another customer who dined at Szechuan Delight with friends had an overwhelmingly positive experience on the same day. They lauded the "wonderful" service, describing their server as prompt, attentive, sweet, and energetic. They also noted that the restaurant was taking necessary COVID-19 precautions, creating a safe and comfortable environment for dining in. This reviewer highly praised the food, specifically mentioning the "perfection" of the Egg Rolls, the "WOW" factor of the Wonton Soup and Sesame Chicken, and the deliciousness of the Broccoli with Brown Sauce. They were so pleased that they ordered food to-go and stated that everyone in their party loved the meal, expressing eagerness to return.

Given these starkly different recent experiences, it is difficult to provide a definitive assessment of Szechuan Delight. The positive review highlights excellent food and service, as well as a commitment to safety protocols for dine-in customers. However, the negative review details a severe issue with food contamination and staleness, which is a significant concern for any potential customer, whether for dine-in or delivery.

For users in US considering this restaurant for meal delivery to Brooklyn, it would be prudent to weigh these contrasting opinions. The very positive experience suggests that Szechuan Delight can provide enjoyable meals, but the serious allegations in the negative review cannot be ignored. It might be advisable to seek more recent and consistent feedback before making a decision.

Today I went here with my friends. It was an amazing experience. The service is wonderful. Our server was prompt, attentive, sweet and had a great energy. They are taking all of the necessary precautions for Covid which made us feel very safe and comfortable. The FOOD WAS AWESOME! We had the Wonton Soup, Egg Rolls, Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken and Broccoli with Brown Sauce. The EGG ROLLS were really nothing short of perfection. The Wonton Soup -WOW! Sesame chicken WOW WOW WOW. Broccoli SO YUMMY! I cannot wait to come back! Very pleased! I even ordered food to-go after eating our meal! All people in our party LOVED it!

This was a go-to spot for me but the fried rice in my last order taste slightly stale and the chicken wing are lacking flavor. Even the fortune cookies are stale. :/

Hit or miss here. Best bet is to get lunch special and roll the dice on what you pick. BBQ spare ribs have seen better days.

Corn and chicken soup we received was foul. The other dishes — twice cooked pork and string beans — used the worst quality ingredients. $50 straight in the trash.
