Sze Chuan Restaurant

It was our first time came to this restaurant, and their lady was so mean to our. We asked for some recommendations and they were so cold to us and said there’s nothing to recommend and left. We ordered the noodles that are very common, they made it taste weird. We wonder if we can get this refund or exchange to differently dashes. They were so rude to us and refused to do anything. As you can see the picture, it meant to be clear broth but they made it with soy sauce. This is a very obvious mistake. I can be sure as a native Chinese that this restaurant is not legit. Not recommend at all.

This is my top-rated Asian restaurant, and I can't count how many times I've been here. I've recommended it to many friends, family members, and even people from out of town. Whenever we host or eat with groups, we always come here. I've tried so many of their dishes, and I've never been disappointed. If you want authentic Asian food, not the Americanized version, this is the place to go. If you want my dish recommendations, here are a few favorites I always order: * 013 Beef Tendon in Chili Sauce (麻辣牛筋) * 049 Braised Pork Belly (糯香红烧肉) * Kung Pao Chicken (宮保雞) * Salted Fried Fish * Mapo Tofu or Tofu Stone Pot Most of their appetizers are also delicious, and they serve the food very quickly. If you can't eat spicy food, I recommend asking before you order. Some dishes are spicier than what you might find at most American Asian food restaurants. For example, the Mongolian Beef is spicier than usual.

I ate here two weeks ago and I’m still thinking about it. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I’ve never had Chinese food like this in Milwaukee. The restaurant was very welcoming and comfortable. I will be coming back soon for sure.

Zero doubt this is a 5 star establishment. Sure, maybe you could argue the atmosphere isn’t 5 stars, but honestly, who cares? The food is out of this world. Their menu has literally a couple hundred options so going there for the first time can be overwhelming, but our server was extremely helpful and we even chatted with the people sitting next to us and got some excellent suggestions. Beef wraps, Beef Chow Fun, sliced beef and chili pepper soup (very spicy), and green beans. If you like hot, definitely try the soup, but honestly everything was incredible. Been thinking about going back all weekend and we were just there on Friday. Definitely going back within the week.

I've eaten here several times now and the food is always outstanding. Every dish has been well prepared and delicious. I've had sweet and sour chicken at almost every notable Chinese place in Milwaukee and this one was easily the best. Humbly presented but every aspect was perfectly done. The chili tofu and Mongolian beef are probably my favorite dishes. Service is equally excellent: quick and unobtrusive, easy to get help when needed, and always accommodating. Last time we went, our server gave us a bag for leftovers and noticed I had misplaced it amidst getting my kids ready to go, then gave me another without me having even started looking for it. I knocked a star off atmosphere for a number of reasons. Could use a bit of updating in decor, warmer lighting (it's well lit which is good but some nice fixtures with warmer bulbs would go a long way), restroom amenities need attention, to name a few.
