Sycamore Drive-In has received mixed reviews from its customers. Many appreciate the retro vibe and delicious comfort food, particularly praising the old-style burgers and homemade root beer. One customer described their experience as a "classical diner experience" with great food that evokes memories of the 1950s and 1960s. Another highlighted the restaurant's ability to provide a sense of nostalgia while delivering high-quality meals.
However, some customers have pointed out areas for improvement. A few diners mentioned issues with menu clarity, particularly regarding portion sizes and labeling (e.g., "large" sweet potato fries being smaller than expected). Additionally, there were occasional delays in service during peak hours, which could be frustrating for those in a hurry.

Customer Reviews
Classical diner experience from 50s 60s with great comfort food. Their old style burgers are delicious. Whenever I go there, I can't help myself ordering another one, then another one. Also they make their own root beer, which is delicious.
We were excited to try it here. When we saw the menu we were shocked to see there was no kids section, for a family diner we found that odd. The waiter did not know how to answer questions about the food on the menu. The “large” sweet potato fries looked like they were a small and served on a very small plate. The “streak burger” was as thin as two sheets of paper at best. Not a thrilling experience and will not be going back. Don’t recommend.
If like old fashioned diner experience this must visit place. Even place has long history tag to it the stuff is young and super attentive! And if like bit fun or in a rush you flash your vehicle lights so that server will come to you not just take the order but personally deliver to you so that enjoy meal without stepping out . We of-course wanted check inside and easily found seating. Food was very good and was served hot. They also server sandwiches with options of bread types
We came out today to have lunch with my sister and her kids. The last time I was here was 20+ years ago. As soon as I opened the door I was hit with pure nostalgia. Everyone greeted us as family, like we never left. The interior decor never lost its 50s drive-in identity and they still have the old juke box we used to play songs on. Our server Kathy was the best part of our trip. She kept up with our additions and subtractions and was absolutely lovely. When the kids spilled their shake she came back with another one and saved the day. The food was amazing. The burgers were as fresh and tasty as I remember and the shakes were rich, thick and ice cold. My only regret was not having enough space in my stomach to get my childhood favorite, the beans and franks. The whole experience reminded me of good times spent with my parents and my siblings treating ourselves to a bit of old school pleasure and the happiness of family. Long live the Sycamore Drive-In! Next time I wont leave it so long before I come back.
Step back in time as soon as you walk in the door. Go back to the early '60s late '50s as you find your way back to a truly old-fashioned booth or perhaps at the soda fountain stools. I had one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had truly custom-made to perfection I also treated myself to their legendary milkshakes which is perhaps one of the best milkshakes I've had in 5 years I highly recommend the sycamore drive in. Great food fair prices and a great weight staff.
