About Sweet Wonton King

Sweet Wonton King is a Chinese restaurant located at 57-11 Main St in Flushing, New York. As part of the Chinese Restaurant category, it aims to provide a range of Chinese culinary offerings to the local community. While specific details about the restaurant's overall ambiance and décor are not extensively described in the provided information, one customer noted that the newer second location appears clean and offers friendly service. This suggests that Sweet Wonton King strives to maintain a welcoming environment for its patrons.

In terms of services, the information indicates that the service at least at the newer location is considered friendly. Additionally, the restaurant offers a small, limited free parking lot in the back, which can be a significant convenience for customers in the often-busy Flushing area. For those unable to secure a spot in the free lot, street parking is also available, though it may require payment. The presence of parking, especially free parking, suggests an effort to make the dining experience more accessible for customers who drive.

The features of Sweet Wonton King, based on the limited reviews, present a mixed picture. One customer highlighted the curry noodle soup as being exceptionally flavorful and "off the top," although mentioning that the portion size was somewhat small. This suggests that certain specialty dishes might be a strong point of the restaurant. The steamed rice roll was also noted as delicious, indicating potential strengths in their appetizer or dim sum-style offerings. However, the same reviewer found the rice dishes to be just "ok," suggesting a possible inconsistency in the quality across different menu items.

In contrast to the positive remarks about specific dishes and the newer location's cleanliness and service, another customer reported a significantly negative experience. This review described the "beef vegetable" dish as lacking actual vegetables (containing only beef and sprouts) and the beef stew as appearing stale and old. The noodles were described unfavorably in both appearance and taste, leading the customer to label the entire meal as terrible and even causing a strange teeth sensitivity. This strongly negative feedback raises concerns about the consistency and quality of some of the dishes offered at Sweet Wonton King.

The opening of a second location is mentioned in one of the reviews, with congratulations extended to the restaurant. This expansion could suggest a degree of success or a broader effort to serve a larger customer base. The reviewer also noted the convenient location of the new branch next to a hospital, which might cater to a specific segment of the local population. The mention of a clean appearance and friendly service at the second location implies that Sweet Wonton King may be working to ensure a positive experience for its customers, at least in its newer establishment.

Given the conflicting feedback, it is challenging to provide a definitive overall assessment of Sweet Wonton King. While some dishes like the curry noodle soup and steamed rice roll have received positive mentions, there are also significant concerns raised about the quality of other dishes, such as the beef vegetable and beef stew. The cleanliness and friendly service at the newer location are positive aspects, as is the availability of limited free parking. However, potential customers should be aware of the mixed reviews and the possibility of inconsistencies in food quality.

As no specific promotional information was provided in the reviews, we cannot comment on any special offers or discounts that Sweet Wonton King might currently have. To get the most up-to-date information on their menu, current promotions, and the overall dining experience, it would be advisable to contact the restaurant directly at (718) 321-2226 or +1 718-321-2226. In conclusion, Sweet Wonton King is a Chinese restaurant in Flushing, NY, that has received varied feedback from its customers. While some have praised specific dishes and the service at a newer location, others have reported significant issues with food quality. The availability of limited free parking is a notable convenience. Potential diners may want to consider these mixed reviews and perhaps try some of the positively mentioned items while being mindful of the reported inconsistencies. Direct contact with the restaurant is recommended for the most current information on their offerings and any ongoing promotions.

I was really looking forward to enjoying a good meal, but unfortunately, this place fell short. The "beef vegetable" dish was a joke - it came with beef and sprouts, but no actual vegetables. The beef stew looked stale and old, like it had been sitting out for hours, exposed to the open air. The noodles or whatever that was, looked like toy food, and the taste was disgusting. Everything about the meal was terrible. The food was so bad it even made my teeth sensitive, like I had just drunk battery acid. Honestly, if I wasn't so hungry, I wouldn't have even bothered eating this subpar food. Thankfully, my grandmother didn't get sick from eating it. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Congrats on the second locations. The place looks clean and friendly services. Location is great, right next to the hospital. They do have a small lmitied free parking lot in the back, if not pay street parking. The curry noodle soup was off the top. The portion was a little small, but the rich flavor packs the punch. The steamed rice roll was delicious. However, the rice dishes were just ok.

Stopped by for Dimsum with family as it was nearby and convenient. LOVED their Wontons, Rice Rolls, 3-Types Flavored Dumplings, Shrimp & Chive Panfried Dumplings, and their Bone Soups aka Brodo! The kids ate all of the Young Chow Fried Rice and House Special Stir Fried Ho Fun Noods. They even have my fave Mango Pudding & Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls! Food and service was great. Place is brand new and clean - good spot for groups of 6-8 pple. The lunch specials are amazing, too $9.99, so I will definitely be back! 😋 Got their Lemon Iced Tea to go - not a lot of places make it this fresh and good!

Came here for a quick meal. Their slices fish with lettuce congee was really good. Will come back to try other items on their menu! Update 11/15/24 - Ordered the lunch special H5. I did not expect the fish to be cooked in fried dough.. barely any fish... skimmed on quality. .. so I won't be ordering that again... but the veggies were very tasty.

I rarely give such a low evaluation. I have spent a lot of money here and eaten many times. I think it is necessary to express my real thoughts the fishy smell of Longli fish is very strong. The service staff at the front desk glanced at it from time to time, and the speed and quality of the meal were not as good as before...
