About Suzy Siu's Baos

Suzy Siu's Baos is a Chinese Restaurant situated within the vibrant Krog Street Market at 99 Krog St NE UNIT J, Atlanta, GA 30307, USA. Located in an indoor market setting with various mini-restaurants, Suzy Siu's Baos offers a selection of Asian-inspired dishes.

According to customer reviews, the experience at Suzy Siu's Baos appears to be mixed. One customer who tried the pork belly rice bowl and tonkatsu ramen found the food to be not worth the price. They described the pork belly as flavorless and overcooked, the bok choy as cold, and the ramen as having barely any meat with improperly cooked noodles. This reviewer felt they were primarily paying for the "vibes" of the market setting.

In contrast, another reviewer specifically praised the buns, particularly the Korean BBQ Beef buns, noting them as delicious and flavorful. However, this customer pointed out a significant issue with the service, describing a "food runner" as rude and unapologetic for slow service, despite an initial 10-minute wait time promise. This reviewer also mentioned that one of their two orders was delayed. Despite the negative service experience, they indicated a willingness to return, hoping for better interaction with the staff.

It's important to note that despite the name suggesting "baos" (steamed buns), one customer explicitly mentioned that the delicious items they enjoyed were "buns" and not the expected baos, based on the name and picture. This suggests a potential discrepancy in the restaurant's offerings versus its name.

Based on the available reviews, Suzy Siu's Baos offers a location within a lively market environment. While some customers have found certain food items, like the Korean BBQ Beef buns, to be flavorful, there are concerns regarding the quality of other dishes and the service provided. Potential customers may want to consider these varying experiences when deciding to visit.

These kind of indoor markets with different mini restaurants always tend to look nice and have bad food, but I wanted to at least give it a shot before judging so I got a pork belly rice bowl and my boyfriend got a tonkatsu ramen. The workers were nice, but the food was definitely not worth the price and you’re really just paying for the “vibes.” My pork belly was just two or three flavorless, overcooked crunchy pieces, bok choy was cold and I really just ate it because I needed to eat not because I enjoyed it. The ramen barely had any meat and the noodles were not properly cooked. Not worth the $30 we spent.

Suzy Siu’s Baos in Krog Street Market had delicious buns (not baos like the name or picture suggest). The Korean BBQ Beef buns were so flavorful. 4 stars though because the service was terrible. The “food runner” was rude and didn’t apologize for their slow service, even though a 10-min wait time was promised. One of our two orders came out right away so just wouldn’t own up. I would be back but hopefully wouldn’t have to interact with the dark-haired girl. I forgot to get a picture of the “baos”.

Only reason it did not get all 5 stars is because the Ramen wasn’t flavorful it was very bland and I didn’t like the Korean Street Corn. My daughter got the fried chicken Bao with her Ramen she said it was ok. I got the Korean BBQ Beef it was delicious. The staff is helpful and friendly Eilish was very helpful with getting my card to work!

Pork belly bao was delicious. A must try if you like bao, they were so fluffy and light. The dumplings were the perfect bite size with just the right amount of heat.
