About Sutadonya

Sutadonya is a delightful Chinese restaurant located in the heart of Arlington Heights, Illinois. Nestled inside the Mitsuwa market food court, Sutadonya offers a unique dining experience that combines the convenience of mall dining with authentic Japanese cuisine. Renowned for its flavorful donburi bowls, Sutadonya has become a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike seeking a taste of Japanese culinary excellence.

Our restaurant is open seven days a week from 11:00 AM to 7:15 PM, making it an ideal spot for quick meals or leisurely dining. The food court setting provides a vibrant atmosphere, though we recommend visiting during off-peak hours for a more relaxed experience. Sutadonya is perfect for those looking to savor authentic Japanese flavors without leaving the convenience of the Mitsuwa market.

At Sutadonya, our menu features an array of mouthwatering dishes that showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Japanese cuisine. Our signature dish, the onion, garlic beef bowl, is a crowd-pleaser known for its bold and aromatic flavor profile. Additionally, our karaage offers a tender and juicy texture, though we note that those who prefer a thicker, crunchy breading may find it lacking in this aspect.

For those seeking a quick bite or a convenient meal option, Sutadonya is an excellent choice. Our self-serve order kiosk streamlines the ordering process, but during peak hours, it can experience delays. To avoid any stress, we recommend placing your order through texting for receipts, which can help streamline the process further.

  • FOOD: Sutadonya is celebrated for its delicious and authentic Japanese donburi bowls. Highlights include the garlic pork bowl with a soft-boiled egg, which has been praised for its flavorful rice and satisfying taste.
  • ATMOSPHERE: Located within the Mitsuwa market food court, Sutadonya offers a lively and bustling environment. While weekends can be chaotic during peak times, the restaurant provides ample seating options for both dine-in and take-out customers.

Customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the restaurant's ability to deliver a quick and tasty meal despite its location within a busy food court. One customer noted that while the service can be slow during peak hours, the overall experience is well worth the wait, particularly for those who appreciate authentic Japanese flavors.

Sutadonya offers several promotions to enhance your dining experience. Enjoy free delivery within a one-mile radius or save on takeout orders with discounts when you spend over $20. This restaurant located inside Mitsuwa in their food court specializes in donburi (rice bowls). The food is delicious, but dining in at the food court is always a stressful experience at peak hours and their new self-serve order kiosk is slow. FOOD The onion, garlic beef bowl is phenomenal in flavor. The karaage is juicy and tender, but it does not have a thick, crunchy breading though if that is a consideration. ATMOSPHERE Food court has limited seating so weekend peak times can be chaotic. I'd advise choosing a less popular time/day or possibly order for take out. SERVICE They are decently fast in preparing the food after ordering. The self-serve kiosk for ordering has a delay after ordering and printing out your receipt 🧾 Texting the receipt option might be the way to go.

This restaurant is inside the Mitsuwa market! If you need a quick meal, you can get a very tasty meal here! I ordered the Garlic pork bowl over rice with a soft boil egg! The service was kinda slow! Overall, the rice had lots of flavor!

The food wasn't that great. The yakisoba wasn't anything like the photos on display, used a different kind of noodles and lacked taste. Katsudon was ok.

If you don't mind waiting upwards of 15-20 minutes for your food, it's definitely a place worth visiting! The food is so flavorful and fresh, and the prices seem fair. Only con is the wait time, and lack of seating, but that's not really the fault of the restaurant since it's in a food court. Will definitely go again! We had the garlic pork, garlic pork and curry, gyoza, and fried rice.

3 pieces of chicken nugget karage with a tiny bit of rice that has barely any starch for 13!? Smallest bowl of food ever. Funny scam. FYI the chefs are not Japanese. That’s why the food doesn’t taste good. The only thing that is good was their pork bowl which they reduced the sized dramatically as well.
