While the "food was good, not great," they had specific feedback on some items. They were "a little disappointed in the spicy tuna crispy rice" as "The tuna seemed a bit overdone and didn’t taste like what we would expect." However, they found the "tuna nigiri was great" but the "salmon was just okay and seemed not super fresh." Despite this, they stated, "We would be willing to give this place another shot sometime."

Another reviewer found the "Sushi is fabulous" and stated they "Definitely will be back" due to the "close proximity!" They specifically mentioned the "Dragon roll" as yummy and another roll with roe (pictured) as also "Yummy!"

Based on these reviews, Sushi Seven in San Antonio, TX (near UTSA), offers quick service for call-in orders and a clean environment with friendly staff. The sushi quality appears to be generally good, with the tuna nigiri and Dragon roll receiving positive mentions as "great" and "fabulous" respectively. We called in an order and within 20mins it was ready. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. The food was good, not great. We were a little disappointed in the spicy tuna crispy rice. Sushi is fabulous. Definitely will be back and love the close proximity! Dragon roll and fish wished I remembered the name of the other roll... Is in the picture with roe on it... Yummy!

Service was okay. The Toro roll was good, but the albacore nigiri was not good. The texture was just off! I would not eat here again

A good Japanese restaurant is rare in San Antonio. We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The atmosphere was a bit sterile, but it was clean and bright. The food was good (not the best I've ever had though) and the service was great. My husband had the James Tower, my mom had the una don (she was very pleased), and I had the chirashi bento. The menu was extensive; I was surprised with the variety from traditional, to sushi, to comfort foods. No Korean or Chinese dishes as you sometimes find in wanna-be Japanese restaurants. We'll be back.

Small place physically but didn’t feel over crowded. Very simple and cute layout. Food was absolutely delicious. My partner and I got the calamari to share, I got the caterpillar roll and he got the nigiri sampler. The calamari was some of the best I’ve had in SA, the sauce is made in house, a little spicy but super yummy! I would buy a bottle of it if they sold it lol. Definitely recommend for a cute date night !
