About Sushi Palace

Sushi Palace is located at Kingston Mall, 4437 NJ-27, Princeton, NJ 08540, USA. While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant, customer reviews primarily focus on their sushi offerings. According to one review, Sushi Palace boasts a "good menu" with "reasonably priced" options, making it a "great place to go for all you can eat sushi." This reviewer also specifically highlighted their seaweed salad as "the best I’ve ever had" and expressed anticipation for a return visit, suggesting a positive experience with the food.

However, another customer recounted a severely negative experience concerning the service. While acknowledging that the food itself ("appetizers were good, and the sushi wasn't that bad either") was not the primary issue, the reviewer detailed a distressing encounter with a server. This encounter involved an accusation of hiding sushi rice after the customer's toddler vomited into a napkin, followed by a refusal to provide the check until all the food was finished. The reviewer also noted the server's lack of attentiveness prior to this incident and the absence of a manager on site. Despite contacting the restaurant afterward, the customer reported receiving no response.

In summary, Sushi Palace appears to offer a menu with all-you-can-eat sushi at a reasonable price, with at least one customer highly recommending their seaweed salad. However, potential customers should be aware of a reported instance of extremely poor customer service, including accusations, unusual demands regarding the bill, and a lack of follow-up from the restaurant management. It is advisable to consider both the positive feedback regarding the food and the serious concerns raised about the service when deciding whether to dine at Sushi Palace. Came here an hour before closing because we were craving sushi last minute. Good menu and reasonably priced, great place to go for all you can eat sushi. Their seaweed salad is the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!

Finally, I am making a review for this location. My one and only experience here was horrible, in terms of the experience, not the food. The Food wasn't too bad, appetizers were good, and the sushi wasn't that bad either. However, this is where it went downhill. My toddler wasn't feeling well after eating something, so as he threw it up, my wife caught it in her napkin. Our server, who never greeted us, never smiled, never checked up on us, never told us to enjoy our meals, nothing that resembled service, all of a sudden comes to our table, points at the napkin, and accuses us of hiding sushi rice, by making a scene, saying "You can't throw rice away, there is a penalty" After worrying about our toddler, that soon turned to anger as we were insulted by the false accusation. My wife got extremely upset and told her what happened and then blank faced, she responds, "OK, her threw up? Oh ok." And just walks away. No apology. No asking if my toddler was feeling OK. Just walked away. We were so upset and didn't want to continue our meal so we asked for the check, but here's the kicker. She said she can't give us the check until we finished all our food. We were incensed. I asked to speak to the manager and she said there is no manager. Then she says, "I'm sorry, it's my fault, ok" but the tone she used when saying those words were very ingenuity. Not wanting to deal with her any longer. I inhaled our giant platter and asked for the check. She brings the check and then proceeds to ask us "Do you want dessert?" I legit thought I was in a Hidden Camera show, or an episode of "What Would You Do?" I don't care if staff has changed, and improved, because although the restaurant was contacted after this incident, I never got a response. Unbelievable.

Lots of seating so there is usually no wait even on weekends. The food came out relatively fast. The sashimi pieces were fresh and a good size. We like the striped bass appetizer and the Peking duck appetizer. I also really like the Jersey girl mango roll. They have fried Oreo which is cool

I went with two friends and we got all you can eat. The food was pretty good. I appreciate the fact that they brought food out consistently over time rather than all at once. Not every AYCE sushi place can get that right. The presentation of the food was also fantastic. Finally, I did not feel rushed at all. We sat for a little over two hours and this would be a no-go at some other locations but not this one. Granted, it was lunch but there was a fair number of customers (no wait times). Overall great experience, and love that it’s right by Princeton and off Route 1.

The restaurant was not too busy on a weekday. The food was good overall with the usual short fulfillment. Just have to order again. Our waitress was distracted and had to ask for a plate 3 times. No tea refills until another waitress walked by. At the end, she never came back, may be it was the end of her shift.
