About SuperMegaBien

SuperMegaBien is a restaurant located at 1260 25th St, Denver, CO 80205, USA. They can be contacted at phone number (720) 269-4695 or mobile phone +1 720-269-4695. While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant on the platform, customer reviews indicate that SuperMegaBien offers a broad menu of Latin American cuisine.

This restaurant stands out for its unique Dim Sum style of service, which brings an unexpected yet welcomed flare to the Latin American dining experience. The menu features a wide array of dishes from various Latin American countries, which has been appreciated by customers seeking authenticity and variety.

Based on customer reviews, several dishes at SuperMegaBien have been well-received. The ceviche is described as light and flavorful, and the ropa vieja is noted for being tender with great flavor. The pork belly mole is also highlighted as particularly good. Customers have enjoyed trying a variety of items such as papaya salad, arepas, pork belly, ropa vieja, and pan de queso, often ordering multiple dishes to sample the diverse offerings, including plantains.

However, some feedback suggests that certain traditional items may not fully meet the expectations of those familiar with the cuisine. Specifically, one reviewer of Colombian origin found the arepas and pan de queso to have a strong almond flour taste, deviating from the traditional preparation. Another review mentions that while the food is okay, the atmosphere and service are "nuts," implying a potentially lively or unconventional environment. This reviewer suggests that the spot is great for drinks and small bites but might not be ideal for those arriving very hungry.

A notable feature of SuperMegaBien is its allergy-friendly approach, likely due to the Dim Sum style of serving and the variety of ingredients used across the menu. The restaurant also has a bar with a recommended drink, the "bee's knees." While no specific promotional information is available, SuperMegaBien offers a unique Latin American dining experience with a diverse menu served in a distinctive style, making it a potentially interesting spot for locals looking to explore Latin flavors and enjoy drinks in a vibrant atmosphere.

Overall a great experience. I am Colombian and any Latin place that loves authenticity has my heart. The fact that this restaurant had so many dishes from all of Latin America was absolutely wonderful. We ate and ate and ate. And when we thought we were done we ordered plátanos. Because who doesn’t love plantains. We ordered the papaya salad, ceviche, arepas, pork belly, ropa vieja, and the pan de queso. The food was lovely. The ceviche was light and flavorful. The ropa vieja was tender, and had great flavor. The pork belly mole was so good! However, the arepas were not my favorite. As a Colombian, I expected them to be a little more traditional. But unfortunately I could mostly taste almond flour. Same thing for the pan de queso. Instead of that chewy cheesy texture you get from the tapioca and fresh cheese, we got a crumbly type of pastry with a strong almond flour taste. Outside of these two items, our experience was wonderful. The Dim Sum style brought unexpected yet welcomed flare and it is very allergy friendly.

The largest dish on the menu was $38 and it was still very small. I'm not used to eating large portions but this portion was extremely small. Including the small plates. It was a sad experience. Although they have a very good concept, they should work on it. The service was excellent, I can't say anything about the waiters, they were excellent.

This has become our new favorite place, and it’s gluten free! Don’t let the “small plates” fool you. You will leave stuffed. Victor and the staff are amazing. We’ll be looking for any excuse to come back. Try sitting at the chef bar!
