About Super Wok

Super Wok, located at 9030 Cahill Ave, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076, USA, operates as a "Chinese Restaurant" offering a range of dishes to the local community. They can be contacted at (651) 457-8877 or their mobile number +1 651-457-8877 for orders or inquiries. Based on customer reviews, Super Wok presents a mixed picture, with positive feedback regarding the speed and flavor of the food and the friendliness of the service, but very serious concerns raised about food safety.

One customer initially rated the food quality as a potential 5 out of 5, indicating a high level of satisfaction with the taste. They specifically mentioned the lo mein. Furthermore, another reviewer described the food as "fast and steaming hot! Full of flavor," reinforcing the notion that Super Wok is capable of producing tasty and promptly served meals. This positive aspect suggests that the restaurant has the potential to be a popular choice for those seeking flavorful Chinese cuisine in the Inver Grove Heights area.

Adding to the positive aspects, the second reviewer also noted that the "service was very friendly" and highlighted the presence of "great dinner specials." This suggests that Super Wok aims to provide not only good food but also a pleasant customer experience through its staff and potentially value-oriented meal deals offered during dinner hours. These elements could contribute to customer loyalty and attract new patrons looking for a combination of quality, service, and affordability.

However, the positive aspects are severely overshadowed by extremely concerning reports regarding food safety. One customer recounted finding steel wool in their food on two separate occasions. The first instance was reported to the restaurant with the hope that they would improve their dish cleaning procedures. Unfortunately, this issue was not resolved, as the same customer later found another "nice long piece of steel" in their lo mein, along with an additional piece upon further inspection of the dish. This indicates a significant and recurring problem with the restaurant's food preparation or dishwashing processes, posing a serious risk to the health and safety of their customers.

The fact that a customer found steel wool in their food on two separate occasions suggests a systemic failure in the restaurant's quality control or hygiene practices. Steel wool is typically used for cleaning, and its presence in food is unacceptable and could cause injury if ingested. The customer's disappointment is evident in their initial high rating of the food being negated by these alarming findings. Their statement, "Must not think this is a big deal," implies a perceived lack of appropriate response or preventative action from the restaurant management following the first complaint.

Given these serious food safety concerns, potential customers should exercise extreme caution when considering ordering from Super Wok. While the food may be described as flavorful and the service friendly, the risk of encountering foreign and potentially harmful materials in the food cannot be ignored. These incidents raise significant questions about the overall hygiene and quality control standards of the establishment.

Information regarding the environment of Super Wok is not provided in the available reviews. As such, it is difficult to objectively describe the ambiance or cleanliness of the dining area, if one exists (as the name "Wok" does not explicitly indicate takeout only). Local users primarily concerned with takeout might find the environment less relevant, but the food safety issues reported would still be a paramount consideration regardless of where the food is consumed.

Similarly, detailed information about the services offered is limited to the mention of "fast" food and "friendly service." It can be inferred that Super Wok likely offers takeout, given the nature of many Chinese "wok" style restaurants. The presence of phone numbers suggests that orders can be placed for pickup. Delivery service is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, so its availability is unknown. The "great dinner specials" indicate that they may have specific offers during evening hours, potentially for both dine-in and takeout customers, if a dine-in option is available.

No specific promotional information beyond the mention of "great dinner specials" is available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts or special offers would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their current promotions. However, any promotional appeal would likely be overshadowed by the serious food safety concerns raised by a customer's experience.

In conclusion, Super Wok in Inver Grove Heights offers fast and flavorful Chinese food, coupled with friendly service and potentially attractive dinner specials. However, these positive aspects are severely compromised by the alarming incidents of steel wool being found in the food on two separate occasions by the same customer. This indicates a significant lapse in food safety and hygiene practices that should be a major concern for any potential customer. While the taste of the food may be appealing, the risk of ingesting foreign materials makes it difficult to recommend Super Wok without significant improvements and assurances regarding their food preparation and dish cleaning processes. Local users should weigh the reported positive aspects against the very serious food safety risks highlighted in the customer reviews before deciding to patronize this establishment.

The food would be a 5 If I hadn’t found steel wool in it on two separate occasions, I called the first time to inform them of the issue hoping they would clean their dishes better going forward. It was evident they didn’t fix this issue when I chomped on a nice long piece of steel in my lo mein again. Searched around in the rest of it and found another piece as well. Must not think this is a big deal.

I don't understand how places are rated higher than this. Super Woks food is great and prices are reasonable. Their food is far better than these other places, like Izumi hibachi express is gross and doesn't even compare. I’ll always support this business.

This place is disgusting. I went here on Sunday afternoon and ordererd 15 wantans. A young Chinese boy greeted me and said it would be a 3 hour wait. Eventually when I got the food it was cold, mushy, and was worse than any wantan I have ever had. Also the Chinese boy was ugly. 0/5

I've gotten the orange chicken and fried rice here a few times. It's hard to find orange chicken that isn't just orange marmalade. This place nails it. So good!
