Super Star has been around for a couple of decades. I had not eaten here for a long while as there are several other dim sum restaurants in Denver area. I went for a late lunch after hiking a 14er's. I was never offered the dim sum menu and one of the servers pushed the cart over and showed me a few items. The dim sum was okay definitely not the best in Denver. I also noticed there were no small items, everything was medium or up which means the price is 10% more expensive than some of the other restaurants. May be I was thirsty, but I thought the tea itself was good.

This is a Chinese restaurant next to the GW market grocery store. It looked like a very old restaurant with similar decor. We were offered a variety of dimsums on a cart. The staffs did not even bothered to give us the menu, immediately started offering some food from the cart. We requested the menu, and requested sizzler, fried rice and a noodle. The food was decent but quantity and quality were definitely not upto the mark not deserved the price they charged. The entire restaurant was smelly and not too clean. The staffs do not speak English, we found it difficult to communicate. I will hesitate to recommend this restaurant. Hope they improve their standards to deserve the price they charge.

Overall Super Star is decent. My only comment was the fried food, such as dumplings, were room temperature when the cart got to our table which is not the greatest. Taste was fine but who wants them kinda cold? The dim sum carts make their way around quick in this smaller restaurant (compared to the one the used to be across the parking lot). Staff is relatively friendly and professional.

Not bad not bad: Good points are daily cart-service dim sum 👍 Decent variety of items 👍 Not crazy busy or closed on Weds (IYKYK) 👍 - Don’t be fooled by the name, Super Star is not going to win any beauty contests, BUT it holds it’s own in a city with few dim sum options. If you can go with a friend/family who speaks mando/canto then all the better for service and all-around experience.

You know the food is good when the ambiance is not, but let’s face it - that’s now why you are here. A party of 3 had a feast on dim sum offered in threes. We loved how the order came out staggered, and as a result everything was so fresh. We ordered a variety of fried and steamed, sweet and savory. As a party of southerners we all approved of the fry and oil freshness. In fact, shrimp balls yall - those were epic. We left fat and happy and my dear local friends now have a new favorite dim sum place.
