About Super China Buffet

Super China Buffet is a Chinese restaurant situated at 11135 Pendleton Pike, Suite 300, in Indianapolis, Indiana (zip code 46236). As a local establishment in the Chinese restaurant category, Super China Buffet offers an all-you-can-eat buffet experience for its patrons. They can be contacted by phone at (317) 826-9898 or their mobile number +1 317-826-9898 for inquiries.

Recent customer reviews paint a somewhat concerning picture of the current state of Super China Buffet, particularly regarding pricing, food quality, and the overall dining atmosphere. One long-time customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with a recent visit. They noted that their bill, which had never exceeded $17 in previous years, had unexpectedly risen to $26. This price increase was coupled with a perceived decline in food quality. The reviewer specifically criticized the imitation seafood, deeming it not worth the elevated price and suggesting that a seafood boil from a nearby establishment would have been a better value. This feedback raises concerns about the restaurant's pricing strategy relative to the quality of ingredients offered, especially for items like imitation seafood.

Another reviewer who visited during what should have been the prime dinner time (6 pm) reported a disconcerting experience. They observed that the buffet was largely empty, which they interpreted as a negative sign. Furthermore, the food that was available did not appear appealing, and the restaurant had very few customers, with only four or five patrons present at that time. An empty buffet during peak hours can often indicate issues with food freshness, variety, or overall customer satisfaction. This observation suggests a potential decline in popularity or quality that might be deterring customers.

Adding to the concerns about pricing, this same reviewer mentioned that the dinner cost was $20, which they felt was too high for the experience, leading them to believe it would likely be their last visit. This reinforces the sentiment that the perceived value for money at Super China Buffet may be diminishing, especially when compared to other dining options available to local users. The combination of higher prices and unappealing food, coupled with a lack of other diners, paints a negative picture of the current dining experience at Super China Buffet.

On a slightly more positive note, one reviewer did mention "friendly staff." This suggests that while there may be issues with the food and pricing, the customer service aspect, at least in this instance, was satisfactory. However, friendly staff alone may not be enough to compensate for concerns about food quality and value.

Based on these recent reviews, it is difficult to provide a positive description of the environment and features of Super China Buffet. The mention of an "empty buffet" suggests a potentially uninviting atmosphere, especially during peak hours when one would expect a bustling dining room. An empty restaurant can lack the vibrancy and energy that often contribute to a pleasant dining experience. The lack of specific positive comments about the ambiance or decor implies that these aspects may not be noteworthy or are perhaps overshadowed by the concerns about the food and pricing.

As a buffet-style Chinese restaurant, the primary service model of Super China Buffet is self-service from a variety of food stations. Customers pay a fixed price for unlimited access to the dishes offered. The friendly staff mentioned by one reviewer likely handle tasks such as seating guests, clearing tables, and processing payments. However, the core of the experience revolves around the buffet itself. The negative feedback regarding the food quality and the emptiness of the buffet raises questions about the variety and freshness of the offerings that local users can expect.

There is no information regarding any promotional offers or special features at Super China Buffet in the provided reviews. Given the recent negative feedback concerning pricing and value, it is unclear if the restaurant is actively trying to attract customers through discounts or promotions. Local users interested in any potential special offers or deals are advised to contact the restaurant directly at (317) 826-9898 or +1 317-826-9898 to inquire.

In conclusion, recent customer reviews for Super China Buffet in Indianapolis present a concerning outlook. Significant price increases, coupled with perceptions of cheap food quality, particularly regarding imitation seafood, have led to dissatisfaction among long-time patrons. The observation of an empty buffet during prime dinner time and negative comments about the appeal of the food further suggest potential issues with the restaurant's current offerings and popularity. While the staff may be friendly, this positive aspect appears to be overshadowed by concerns about value for money and food quality. Local users considering dining at Super China Buffet should be aware of this recent feedback, which indicates a potential decline in the overall dining experience. It may be prudent to seek more recent reviews or perhaps consider other Chinese restaurant options in the Indianapolis area before making a decision.

Friendly staff, but an empty buffet never means good things. Went at 6pm, prime dinner time, and food did not look good and only four or five patrons. I hope they pick back up, but at $20 for dinner, this was probably my last visit.

It was pretty good. Nothing spectacular but good enough for a buffet plenty of options food was kept fresh. Had to find my second cup of tea myself. Tea bags and no kettle. Water from a limed up electric kettle.. 😲

If you are a fan of teriyaki chicken you should call in a to-go order of Hong Kong chicken - It comes with a side of white rice and is always cooked to perfection. You will not regret it!
