One of the standout items, according to a first-time visitor, is their deep-fried shrimp puffs, described as "soooo good," "crispy crunchy," and "mm good." The reviewer was so impressed that they ordered a 50-piece portion and received it on three plates, noting that the puffs remained crunchy even hours later. This exceptional crispiness and lasting quality make this dish a must-try. The same reviewer also mentioned ordering "two of everything that was on display" (though they regrettably forgot to ask for pork buns), indicating a broad and appealing selection of dim sum available for immediate purchase. Additionally, their porridge was likened to a comforting "chicken soup with rice" familiar from the reviewer's island roots, suggesting a heartwarming and authentic preparation of this classic dish.
Another reviewer expressed a strong desire to return specifically to try their steam buns, indicating that this is another highly anticipated item on their menu. This suggests that Sunshine Wheat Field Dim Sum offers a diverse range of both fried and steamed dim sum options to cater to different preferences. The reviewer did mention a personal dislike for the ingredients used in their pork, which affected their enjoyment of the pot stickers and pancake pork. However, they also acknowledged that taste is subjective and emphasized that they thoroughly enjoyed everything else they tried, highlighting the overall quality and variety of the menu. The fact that there is often a line outside is also noted as a strong indicator of the restaurant's popularity and a sign that it's a spot "everyone has to try."
A recurring theme in the reviews is the "super affordable" prices, making Sunshine Wheat Field Dim Sum an ideal choice for a casual meal or a quick takeout option. One reviewer declared their siu mai as "absolutely unbeatable," praising its perfect steaming, juiciness, and flavor. This strong endorsement positions their siu mai as a signature dish that customers consistently rave about. Furthermore, the reviewer stated that "the rest of the dim sum menu is equally delicious, with a great variety of classic options," reinforcing the notion that the quality extends beyond just a few standout items. The overall recommendation is high for anyone seeking "authentic dim sum without breaking the bank." The added bonus of a "great bakery next door" is also mentioned as a reason for repeat visits, suggesting a potential synergy or complementary offerings that enhance the overall experience of visiting this location.

First time at this place and their deep fried shrimp puffs are soooo good. Crispy crunchy and mm good, ordered a 50pc and they gave us 3 plates of it .. it was still crunchy hours later. Ordered two of everything that was on display however I forgot to ask for their pork buns. Their porridge is similar to what we eat in the island and it definitely brought back memories of chicken soup with rice. Gotta go back and try their steam buns. The only minus for me is whatever ingredients they use for their pork that I don't like so the pot stickers and pancake pork wasn't to my liking but everything else I really enjoyed and it's ok because everyone's palate is different. The staff was nice and I could tell that this place is popular, where there's a line outside that's a spot everyone has to try.
The prices are super affordable, making it perfect for a casual meal or a quick to go. Their siu mai is absolutely unbeatable—perfectly steamed, juicy, and packed with flavor. The rest of the dim sum menu is equally delicious, with a great variety of classic options. If you’re looking for authentic dim sum without breaking the bank, this is the spot to go. Highly recommend! Plus it has a great bakery next door to it which makes me always come back.
No line at 12pm on a rainy Saturday. The turnip cake and egg rolls tasted OK, not great. There are no seats for dining in.
Jiggly egg tarts, not too sweet or too eggy. The crust is crumbly but light. Perfect afternoon snack on the go.
Quick and easy way way to pick up food and go, love the shrimp puffs and the bread sticks and more but those are my favorite!!
