Welcome to Sunrise Chinese Restaurant, your local Chinese restaurant situated at 2015 N Commercial St, Harrisonville, MO 64701, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Sunrise aims to serve the Harrisonville community with a variety of Chinese cuisine. Based on the limited review information, specific details about the environment of Sunrise Chinese Restaurant are not extensively described. However, the mention of a customer going "for a late for lunch" and noting that "many items were gone or old and dry" might suggest a buffet-style service, where food is displayed and available for customers to choose from. Buffet environments in Chinese restaurants typically feature a spacious dining area with various stations holding different dishes, allowing customers to serve themselves. The ambiance is usually casual and family-friendly, catering to individuals and groups looking for variety and convenience.

In terms of services, Sunrise Chinese Restaurant likely offers both dine-in and takeout options. The first review mentions getting food "for my gma and I" and taking leftovers home, implying both dine-in and takeout service availability. The second review, detailing a "late for lunch" visit where buffet items were lacking, further supports the likelihood of dine-in service, possibly with a buffet. To confirm if Sunrise offers a buffet, a la carte dining, and delivery services to the Harrisonville area, it would be best to contact them directly.

The features of Sunrise Chinese Restaurant would include a menu of Chinese dishes, potentially with a significant portion offered via a buffet. The second review's mention of "many items were gone or old and dry" suggests a wide selection is typically available, especially during peak hours. However, the specific types of dishes offered are not detailed in the provided reviews. It is common for Chinese restaurants to feature items such as fried rice, noodle dishes, various meat and vegetable stir-fries, soups, and appetizers. Given the limited information, inquiring about their menu or buffet offerings would provide a clearer understanding of their culinary features.

Customer reviews regarding Sunrise Chinese Restaurant present significant concerns about food quality and consistency. One reviewer reported a disturbing experience of taking home food that was later found to be "severely undercooked." This is a serious issue that raises questions about food safety and preparation standards at the restaurant. Undercooked food can pose health risks, and this feedback should be a major consideration for potential customers.

Another reviewer detailed a negative experience during a "late for lunch" visit. They found that "many items were gone or old and dry" on the buffet, and there was "no offer of fresh food." This suggests potential issues with food management, particularly during off-peak hours, where the freshness and availability of buffet items might decline. This reviewer also mentioned that this was their third visit, with the first being "good enough to go back," the second being "crowded," and the third being "awful," leading them to decide not to return. The reviewer's comment about other Chinese restaurants in the area being closed until May implies that Sunrise might be one of the few options available at certain times, but this does not excuse the poor quality experienced.

The limited feedback provides no information about any promotional offers at Sunrise Chinese Restaurant. It is common for Chinese restaurants, especially those with buffets, to have lunch specials or discounts for certain days or times. To learn about any potential promotions or special deals, local users should contact the restaurant directly at (816) 884-5051. Inquiring about their pricing for lunch and dinner, as well as any buffet specials, could be beneficial for those considering dining there.

In conclusion, the available reviews for Sunrise Chinese Restaurant in Harrisonville, MO, raise significant concerns about food quality and consistency. The report of severely undercooked food is particularly alarming. Additionally, the experience of finding old and dry items on a late lunch buffet without any offer of fresh alternatives suggests potential issues with food management during off-peak hours. While one earlier visit was reportedly good, the subsequent negative experiences, especially the food safety concern, should be carefully considered by local users. It is strongly recommended to exercise caution and perhaps seek more recent reviews or contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their current food safety practices and quality control before deciding to dine at or order from Sunrise Chinese Restaurant.

I went for a late for lunch. Many items were gone or old and dry. No offer of fresh food. I've been here three times now and won't return. First time was good enough to go back. Second time was crowded. Third time was awful, but all other Chinese restaurants in Peculiar and Harrisonville are closed until May.

For a small town chinese buffet, in our humble opinion, it's really good. Family ran. Just stand and ask for a drink refill. They will refill it. They are not ignoring you but they have limited staff. If we drive-through town again, we will stop by and eat here.

The restaurant is in a small strip plaza, the owner/waitress was absolutely incredible. This restaurant has been in this community on family owned for many many decades. If you take a chance to chat with the owner, she’s really really nice. We were just staying in town for the weekend for a wedding and we were lucky to come across this place. The buffet itself is pretty tiny, but they had a good selection and the food was warm and fresh. The salad selection well let’s just say vegetarians are not their primary focus group. The ice cream is actual ice cream and not some nasty knock off stuff. As others have mentioned, you’re not gonna go thirsty, they were on the ball, keeping you refilled and keeping the buffet stocked well.
