About Sunny Wok

Sunny Wok is a Chinese Restaurant located at 3084 NY-50 in Saratoga Springs, New York. Serving the local community, Sunny Wok primarily offers takeout services for its range of Chinese cuisine. While specific details about the restaurant's environment or dine-in options are not available from the provided reviews, it functions as a local establishment providing Chinese food for customers to enjoy off-premises.

Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at Sunny Wok appear to be varied. One customer reported a significant issue with their online order, stating that they ordered two different combo meals but received two of the same item, a large sesame chicken with white rice. Additionally, they mentioned that the sesame chicken tasted unusually like peanut butter, a flavor they had not encountered in this dish elsewhere. When attempting to rectify the order issue by contacting the restaurant, the customer was informed that the order was correct according to their records, and the peanut butter taste was described as normal. This customer also expressed dissatisfaction with the sweet and sour chicken, describing it as mostly breading with very little chicken inside. Furthermore, despite living 20 minutes away, they were informed that delivery was not an option, and their request for the correct meal was refused.

Another customer described the food at Sunny Wok as "nothing special," specifically criticizing the fried rice and suggesting it needed improvement. This reviewer, drawing on their experience with numerous Chinese food establishments within the five boroughs of New York City, stated that the food at Sunny Wok was consistently inferior to what they had experienced elsewhere, even in less conventionally praised areas. This customer also noted a perceived decline in value, mentioning that lunch special prices had increased while portion sizes had decreased, urging the restaurant to "do better."

The provided reviews do not offer any positive feedback regarding the food quality, customer service, or overall experience at Sunny Wok. The absence of positive comments makes it challenging to highlight any specific features or strengths of the restaurant based solely on this information. The feedback primarily focuses on issues with order accuracy, unexpected flavors (peanut butter in sesame chicken), poor quality of certain dishes (sweet and sour chicken being mostly breading, subpar fried rice), and unsatisfactory customer service, including a refusal to correct a significantly incorrect order and a lack of delivery service to a nearby location.

Given the information available, it is difficult to provide a detailed introduction that highlights positive aspects of Sunny Wok. The reviews suggest potential issues with food preparation consistency, ingredient quality, and customer service responsiveness. Local users considering ordering from Sunny Wok may want to take these recent experiences into account when making their decision. There is no information provided regarding any promotional offers or unique features that might typically attract customers.

As a Chinese Restaurant offering takeout, Sunny Wok operates at 3084 NY-50 in Saratoga Springs. Customers looking for Chinese food in this area can contact them at (518) 583-8888 or +1 518-583-8888 to place orders. However, based on the recent feedback, it would be prudent for potential customers to be specific with their orders and perhaps inquire about the ingredients and preparation methods of certain dishes, especially those that have received negative reviews. It is also important to confirm order accuracy upon receipt, if possible, given the reported issues.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for Sunny Wok present a concerning picture regarding food quality and customer service. Potential customers in the Saratoga Springs area seeking Chinese takeout may want to weigh these experiences carefully before placing an order. The feedback highlights issues with order fulfillment, unexpected taste profiles, and a lack of resolution for customer complaints. Without additional positive information or a broader range of reviews, it is challenging to recommend Sunny Wok based solely on the provided feedback.

If I could give negative stars I would, we ordered 2 combos online one general tso with veggie fried rice, and sesame chicken with white rice. We indeed did not get 2 combos we got, a large thing of sesame chicken side of white rice, and a combo that was also sesame chicken with white rice(tasted like straight peanut butter). When we called to see if we could get it correct they told us that what we said we got was correct and that they didn’t mess up, we also stated it tasted like straight peanut butter and they said that is normal? - never have I ever ordered sesame chicken anywhere else that tasted like peanut butter. We also got sweet and sour chicken and it was more like sweet and sour breading. There was little to no chicken in it. We live 20 mins away they won’t deliver to us and all I wanted was the correct meal and they refused to do so.

The food is nothing special. Their fried rice needs a revamp. I've eaten at numerous Chinese food places within the five boros of nyc, in some interesting areas to say the least, and they're was always better than Sunny Wok. Lunch specials have gone up in price while their portions are smaller. Do better!

Order a large vegetable lo mein and the portion size was small I’m in the big apple right? The guy behind the counter wasn’t friendly either and the spring rolls are the size of 1 egg roll but double the price

Never been here before. Camping in Saratoga n Google Chinese restaurants . Saw reviews n after shopping at mall thought I'd give Sunny Wok a try. When I walked in there was a long line, but I eventually realized that most people where there for pick up, a few like myself were there to order out. I sat for 10 minutes for my dinner and more n more people were coming in, mostly call in orders to pick up. I ordered off the combination plates, which I wanted Moo goo gai pan, which wasn't on the combination plates. I asked if I could get that for combination plate, which comes with pork fried rice, egg roll n of course fortune cookie. I'm eating it now, n it's delicious.

All I can say is wow!!! ( Not in a good way)... Glad the kids and wife wanted something else... I only ordered one general so's platter and the 13 year old behind the counter tried charging her 70 dollars! When she said it was only for one platter, he had already slid my credit card thru and asked if she wanted a refund??? 😂😂🤦.. After he gave her the cash for his mistake, she paid for my meal which was almost 13... When she got home, I laughed... It looked like a kids meal and the pork fried rice was just rice with a very small piece of pork in the middle cut up ..How pathetic! Get your shit together for your future customers... I won't be one of them ..
