About Sunny Teriyaki

Sunny Teriyaki is a Chinese Restaurant located at 914 D St NE in Auburn, WA. Serving the local community, Sunny Teriyaki offers a variety of Chinese dishes, with a particular emphasis on teriyaki items, as suggested by its name. Customers can contact them at (253) 333-0100 or +1 253-333-0100 for placing orders or making inquiries. As a Chinese Restaurant in Auburn, Sunny Teriyaki aims to provide satisfying meals with efficient service.

Based on recent customer reviews, Sunny Teriyaki has garnered both positive and negative feedback regarding its food quality. One reviewer mentioned that the food is "usually really good" and that they provide "big portions." This suggests that historically, Sunny Teriyaki has been known for both the taste and the quantity of its food, which are often important factors for customers seeking value. However, this same reviewer also noted a recent issue with their meal being "too Salty," to the point where they "ended up throwing my food away" after only eating a little bit. They also suggested that customers might need to request "no msg," indicating a potential concern about the use of monosodium glutamate and its impact on the saltiness of the food.

Another customer shared a longer-term perspective, stating that "Sunny Teriyaki has been our favorite for 5+ years." This highlights a period of consistent satisfaction and loyalty from at least one customer. However, their recent experience indicates a potential decline in food quality, as they noted that "recently the quality of the food has slipped." They specifically mentioned their love for the "honey garlic chicken" but reported that an order delivered via Uber Eats the previous week "simply wasn't that great." The chicken was described as "overcooked, hard and chewy," leading to significant disappointment. This suggests a possible issue with consistency in food preparation, where a previously reliable dish no longer meets expectations.

On a positive note, the second reviewer did mention that "Delivery is always fast, which is appreciated." This indicates that Sunny Teriyaki is efficient in its delivery service, likely partnering with platforms like Uber Eats to ensure timely arrival of orders. However, the reviewer also prioritized food quality over speed, stating, "but I'd rather wait a little longer and get better quality food." This underscores the importance of maintaining food standards, even when delivery speed is a valued aspect of the service.

Information regarding the environment of Sunny Teriyaki is not provided in the available reviews. Typically, a teriyaki-focused Chinese restaurant might have a casual and functional dining area, primarily catering to quick meals and takeout orders. The ambiance is often simple and focused on efficiency. Without specific details from the reviews, it is difficult to describe the dining atmosphere at this location.

The services offered by Sunny Teriyaki, based on the reviews, include both takeout and delivery. The mention of Uber Eats indicates that they utilize third-party delivery services to reach customers who prefer to eat at home. The positive comment about fast delivery suggests that they are efficient in this aspect of their service. It is also highly likely that they accept phone orders for pickup. Dine-in service is a standard offering for most restaurants, so it can be assumed that Sunny Teriyaki has a physical location where customers can eat, although the environment of this space is not detailed in the provided feedback.

Features of Sunny Teriyaki that can be inferred from the reviews include their historically "really good" food and "big portions," which have contributed to customer loyalty over time. The fast delivery service is also a notable feature appreciated by at least one customer. However, a potential concern is a recent inconsistency in food quality, with reports of overly salty food and overcooked, chewy chicken. The "honey garlic chicken" was once a favorite, suggesting it might be a signature dish, but its recent decline in quality is a point of concern. The potential use of MSG and its impact on saltiness is also a point raised by a customer.

No specific promotional information is mentioned in the provided reviews. Chinese restaurants, including those specializing in teriyaki, often offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts for certain order amounts. To learn about any current promotions at Sunny Teriyaki, local users should check their website (if they have one), any local advertising, or inquire directly when calling to place an order. It might also be worth checking online delivery platforms like Uber Eats, as they sometimes feature promotions for specific restaurants.

In conclusion, Sunny Teriyaki in Auburn, WA, has been a favorite Chinese Restaurant for some local customers for an extended period, known for its good food and generous portions. However, recent reviews indicate a potential decline in food quality, with issues such as excessive saltiness and overcooked chicken being reported. While the delivery service is noted for its speed, the quality of the food seems to be a more pressing concern for some patrons. Local users considering Sunny Teriyaki should be aware of these recent trends in customer feedback and might want to inquire about the current preparation methods or request adjustments like "no msg" based on the reported issues. It would also be prudent to check for any recent updates or changes in management that might impact the food quality. To get the most up-to-date information on their menu, hours, and any promotions, contacting Sunny Teriyaki directly is recommended.

Sunny Teriyaki has been our favorite for 5+ years, but recently the quality of the food has slipped. I love their honey garlic chicken, but the order I had delivered by Uber Eats last week, well, it simply wasn't that great. The chicken was overcooked, hard and chewy. To say the least I was disappointed. Delivery is always fast, which is appreciated, but I'd rather wait a little longer and get better quality food.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken and barely got any sauce. Don't even bother ordering here. Ringo Wok up the hill is way better. They ain't out to serve good food. They just wanna skimp. If I wanted dry chicken nuggets, I woulda gone to McDonald's.

I haven’t been here for a while but we decided to pick up takeout tonight. Our order consisted of 3 combination fried rice no veggie, 1 barbecue pork fried rice no veggie & 1combination chicken yakisoba no beef (only chicken & shrimp) & 2 orders of pork eggrolls. The portions are great. The food taste great but I’m very disappointed in the amount of shrimp in the combination, fried rice, & the yakisoba. Literally 2 pieces in the Yakisoba and 3 on each fried rice. Wow, my order after tipping what is $105.00 Probably won’t be returning anytime soon.

I ordered the combination yakisoba. While waiting one of the cooks was on break and was picking his Nose. When I got my food I on had two baby shrimp in a whole plate. I told the lady that I only got two shrimp out of it and she rudely told me that’s “what you get!” I will never eat at this place again! Two shrimp for yakisoba combination wasn’t the problem it was the rude customer service and the cook picking the nose for me!
