About Sunny Kitchen

Sunny Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant located at 621 S Mt Juliet Rd #105, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122, USA. They can be contacted at (615) 288-8888 or +1 615-288-8888.

Recent customer reviews present a mixed picture of Sunny Kitchen. One concerning review reported finding a thin metal wire in their sesame chicken, highlighting a serious food safety issue. This long-time customer expressed significant alarm and indicated this incident might be their last visit.

Another customer noted that Sunny Kitchen serves as a convenient option for last-minute Asian food cravings in the south side of Mt. Juliet. However, they mentioned inconsistencies in portion sizes, particularly with the lo mein, where sometimes the container is full and other times it is not. They did state enjoyment of the lo mein and chicken wings. They also observed that portion sizes with combos can be unpredictable.

A different customer reported fast service and a convenient location. They found the price to be cheap and noted that, seemingly due to the pandemic, only online or phone orders were available. They praised the fried rice for having good quality rice and not being too oily, with very good portions for the price and taste. However, they expressed disappointment that the Hunan Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and Garlic Sauce Chicken, despite being ordered extra hot, were all bland and tasted the same. While the spring roll was rated as good to average, the customer appreciated receiving free donuts as a gesture during a dinner pickup. They found the order-taking process to be patient and accurate. The main complaint was the lack of distinct flavors in the different chicken dishes. This customer encouraged others to try the restaurant for themselves while acknowledging their own mixed experience.

Overall, Sunny Kitchen appears to offer fast service and affordable prices, with some customers enjoying specific dishes like fried rice, lo mein, and chicken wings. However, there are concerns regarding food safety, inconsistent portion sizes, and a lack of differentiation in the flavors of some chicken dishes. Local users should consider these varied experiences when deciding whether to order from Sunny Kitchen.

Heres a pretty disturbing update: Been coming here for years BUT this might be the last straw. Added a pic of the reason. Why is there a thin metal wire in my sesame chicken?! This is seriously and extremely dangerous. I better not have swallowed tiny pieces of metal wire! ####### Its good to satisfy a last minute Asian food fix craving. The only “Chinese” food in the south side of MJ. Their portions are unpredictable in my experience. Sometimes they packed the container, sometimes its not packed in there with their lomein. I do enjoy their lomein and chicken wings. :) also with their combos with the inconsistencies with portions.

Fast service , location is great, price is cheap, only online order or phone order due to pandemic it seems. We ordered fried rice and it was good as we ordered, not much oil and quality of rice was good. Portions are very good for the price on fried rice and tasted very good. But apart from rice we ordered Hunan Chicken, Kung pa chicken, garlic sauce chicken, all extra hot we asked but we got everything bland and all the dishes tasted same. We wanted to taste all the dishes on chicken appetizer but not expected everything taste the same. Spring roll came with it was good/average. We went their for dinner pickup and around 9 pm , as a good gesture (?) we got free donuts(?) from restaurent and it tasted good. Lady who took the order was patience and got the food we ordered , no confusion on getting the food packed. Only complaint we had was all the chicken dish tasted same. Try for yourself and don’t want to give bad perspective on this little store.

I ordered a large egg drop soup and as I was about to eat it I kept feeling hard things in my soup. After digging out 7 of whatever these are out of my soup I barely had any soup left. How do you not know that you have 7 of these huge meat dumplings in a quart of soup. If that’s the case most of the food must be cross contaminated if you have meat dumplings in soup.

I am new to the area and have been looking for a Chinese food restaurant and have yet to find one that is worth It . Save your money ! I ordered bourbon chicken and fried rice , the chicken was dry and unseasoned with very little sauce at the bottom of the carton . The fried rice was not fried rice there was no peas , carrots , fried egg and It tasted very bland. The free spring rolls that are included in the combo are nasty as well , taste like paper .

EDIT: We’ve been eating here for about 2 years at this point and lately when we order the Singapore mei fun LESS SPICY, they always double the amount of the normal spice level. Tonight, our food is inedible and so spicy it’s made me sick. We called and their only solution was to remake our food (which now I’m sick and can’t even eat if we did get a new one). Probably won’t be ordering again. We moved here from Franklin last year and this immediately became our go-to Chinese take out place! The food is always ready within 15 mins and always tastes very fresh.
