About Sunny Dumpling House

Located at 18481 Colima Rd in Rowland Heights, California, Sunny Dumpling House operates as a Chinese restaurant offering a variety of dishes, with a particular emphasis, as its name suggests, on dumplings (jiaozi) and potentially other related items such as baozi (steamed buns) and huajuan (steamed twisted rolls). As a part of the Chinese restaurant category in Rowland Heights, Sunny Dumpling House aims to serve the local community with traditional Chinese fare. However, recent customer feedback available online presents a mixed picture regarding the overall dining experience.

One customer expressed significant disappointment with the taste of the food. They ordered seven baozi and one bag of huajuan, totaling $26, which they considered not inexpensive. Furthermore, they noted that the size of the items was small. While they indicated a willingness to overlook the size if the taste were satisfactory, they found the taste to be "just so bad." Specifically, they mentioned the sauerkraut pork baozi lacking any discernible sourness, describing the overall taste as "very mediocre to the point it is not worth the price." Based on this experience, the customer stated they would not return to the store.

Another review highlighted issues with the service, despite finding the food to be "good." This customer, identifying as Chinese, acknowledged that some Chinese establishments can offer subpar service. They recounted a specific instance where they politely requested assistance in separating their order into two different boxes, as they were immediately taking food to a friend. The response from the staff member was to provide extra boxes but refuse to help with packing the food. The customer reiterated their situation and asked again for assistance, but the staff member declined, citing a general policy due to the number of customers, even though the restaurant was nearly empty at the time. The staff member reportedly added that the customer should feel fortunate to even receive extra boxes, which the reviewer found to be a "ridiculous level of service."

Based on these two recent reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive and positive introduction to Sunny Dumpling House. The feedback raises concerns about both the quality of the food, with one customer finding the taste significantly lacking and the price not justified, and the level of customer service, with another customer experiencing a lack of willingness to assist with a simple request, even when the restaurant was not busy.

The reviews do not offer any insights into the restaurant's environment or ambiance. One review mentions a specific interaction with a "lady," implying a counter service or a casual setting where customers might directly interact with staff for ordering and pickup. However, without more information, it is difficult to describe the interior or the overall atmosphere of Sunny Dumpling House.

Similarly, there is no mention of any specific features or promotional offers. The limited feedback focuses solely on the taste of the food and the quality of the service encountered during specific visits. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any unique aspects of the restaurant or any ongoing promotions that might be available to customers.

In conclusion, the available recent customer reviews for Sunny Dumpling House in Rowland Heights present a cautionary picture. One customer reported significant dissatisfaction with the taste and value of their order, while another found the food to be good but experienced extremely poor service. These issues suggest potential inconsistencies in food quality and customer care at this establishment. Local users considering Sunny Dumpling House should be aware of this recent feedback when making their decision.

For those who may still wish to try Sunny Dumpling House or have had positive experiences in the past, the restaurant can be contacted at (626) 839-8288 or +1 626-839-8288. Located at 18481 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, USA, it is physically accessible for those in the area. However, given the recent negative reviews regarding taste and service, potential customers might want to manage their expectations or consider seeking more recent or diverse feedback before making a visit or placing an order.

As a Chinese restaurant in Rowland Heights, Sunny Dumpling House potentially offers a range of dumpling and related dishes. However, the limited and negative nature of the recent online reviews makes it difficult to recommend without reservation. Local users are encouraged to weigh the available feedback and consider their own priorities regarding food quality, service expectations, and value when deciding whether to patronize Sunny Dumpling House.

I am very disappointed with the taste. 7 Baozi and 1 bag of huajuan, all cost $26, which I won’t consider it cheap. Also The size of is small. Now I can live with the size if the taste is good, but the taste is just so bad. The sauerkraut pork one I can’t taste the sourness in it at all. It is very mediocre to the point it is not worth the price. I won’t return to this store again.

The food was good, but the service was extremely poor. As a Chinese person, I have to admit that some Chinese stores offer very poor service. I politely and kindly asked if they could help me separate my order into two different boxes. The lady responded that she could provide extra boxes but could not help put the food into them. I explained that I was taking the food to my friend immediately and asked again if she could assist. She replied that they usually don’t do that because of the number of customers, even though there were hardly any people there (it was just us). She added that I should feel lucky she even provided extra boxes. What a ridiculous level of service

What a rubbish shop! They won't let me make a reservation without paying. When I called they told me they had half a pot of buns, but when I drove there 5 minutes later they told me they were sold out. I still need to wait 30-40mins! I will never go to your shop again
