About Sunny China Buffet

Welcome to Sunny China Buffet! As a Chinese Restaurant, Sunny China Buffet, located at 1703 Philo Rd in Urbana, IL, USA, offers a traditional Chinese buffet experience. For our local users in US, Chinese buffets are a familiar concept, providing a wide variety of dishes to choose from at a set price.

Sunny China Buffet is described by customers as a "very solid Chinese buffet." While one reviewer noted that the selection might be slightly smaller compared to another Chinese buffet in the area, they also stated that the quality of the food is generally "a bit better." This suggests a focus on maintaining a higher standard for the dishes they offer.

The dishes at Sunny China Buffet are, for the most part, considered "all pretty good," although one reviewer mentioned that some items might occasionally be a little under or over-salted. This is a common observation in buffet-style dining where maintaining consistent seasoning across a large variety of dishes can be challenging.

An interesting feature highlighted by a customer is the surprising quality of their Mac and Cheese, which was described as "actually surprisingly good" for a Chinese buffet. This indicates that Sunny China Buffet might offer some unexpected and well-prepared non-traditional options alongside their Chinese cuisine.

In terms of value, one customer reported that the price for dinner after tax and tip was $17, which they considered to be "excellent value." This suggests that Sunny China Buffet offers a reasonably priced all-you-can-eat dining option.

Another first-time visitor reported that their experience "did not disappoint." They found the food to be "fresh and tasty" and praised the "great servers," indicating positive feedback regarding both the food quality and the service. This customer also stated that they would "definitely return," suggesting a satisfying overall dining experience.

While the selection might be slightly smaller, the dishes are generally well-received, with some surprising highlights like the Mac and Cheese. Customers have praised the freshness and taste of the food, as well as the good service and excellent value. For local users in US familiar with Chinese buffets, Sunny China Buffet represents a similar dining style with an emphasis on quality and affordability.

Very solid Chinese buffet. The selection is a little smaller than the other Chinese buffet in town but the quality is a bit better. The dishes are for the most part all pretty good though some are a little under/oversalted. Considering it's a Chinese buffet, the Mac and Cheese was actually surprisingly good. Overall, the price was 17$ for dinner after tax and tip, which I think is excellent value.

Most of the food was good, but it was specifically the cakes and Sweets that I didn’t like, it definitely did not look like a sanitary place, but the food was pretty good.

First visit and it was a great experience. We were promptly greeted and the good service continued throughout our visit. The buffet was very well stocked and the food was fresh. This was some of the most flavorful Chinese food, on a buffet, that I've had. They had several shrimp dishes along with many other traditional dishes. I thought their fruit and dessert selection was good. The had six flavors of hard pack ice cream. The lunch buffet is $8.99. The dinner buffet is $10.99. The Sunday buffet is $10.99 all day.

Great little buffet with a wide variety of dishes. The spicy honey chicken is to die for. Would highly recommend.
