About Sun Moon Garden

Sun Moon Garden is a Chinese restaurant located at 1511 N San Fernando Blvd in Burbank, CA 91504. They can be contacted at (818) 846-7660 or their mobile number +1 818-846-7660.

Based on customer reviews, Sun Moon Garden appears to be a long-established local favorite, with one patron mentioning they have been dining there for over 20 years and consider the food "amazing." A highly recommended item is the "Dinner Special," which includes soft noodles with shrimp, served alongside fried rice, an egg roll, and one fried shrimp. The hot tea is also noted as a pleasant addition to the meal. This long-term customer also fondly remembers peas and carrots in their fried rice and suggests trying the "Shrimp Chips," which are apparently popular with children.

Another customer shared their first-time experience with a take-out order. They found the service to be "pretty fast" while waiting for their food to be prepared. While the "House Chow Mein" was described as "great" and well-liked, the "Orange Chicken" was a disappointment, becoming soggy and overly sweet by the time they got home. This suggests that certain dishes might be better enjoyed on-site to maintain their quality.

For local users in Burbank seeking a Chinese restaurant, Sun Moon Garden offers a history within the community and has dishes like the Dinner Special and House Chow Mein that have garnered positive feedback. The fast service for take-out is also a noted convenience. However, it's worth considering that some dishes, like the Orange Chicken, may not travel well for take-out, and preferences for specific preparations, like the ingredients in the fried rice, can vary.

Food is amazing. Been going there for over 20 yrs+. The go to is the Dinner Special. Soft noodles with shrimp. Served with fried rice, egg roll and 1 fried shrimp. The hot tea is also such a treat. I wish they brought back the peas and carrots in their fried rice. Try the Shrimp Chips. My kids fight over it.

First time here, I ordered take out. Waited while my food was prepared, pretty fast service! I ordered orange chicken (was too soggy, not crunchy by the time I got home, and a bit too sweet. Would not order again unless I eat it there maybe). The house chow mein on the other hand was great! Loved it!

I think this place is authentic to the chinese american experience. I've seen some reviews of this place talking about the attitude of the staff and the vibe of the place throwing them off, and clearly the people writing these reviews grew up going to sterile panda expresses. The food here is great, it feels like I'm eating with my grandma again. Growing up in the asian hotspots of socal, all the good places have exactly this vibe. You get what you want, it's good, and it's cheap. I love this place I hope it stays open forever.

This is a favorite of many of my friends. Older style Chinese menu with lunch and dinner specials, not like the fast-food places with hot food counters. It is run by a small family, so service sometimes takes an extra few minutes, but the food tastes good, and the servings are generous. Easy to share food family style. Very family friendly, and can serve groups as high as nine people at one table. Lazy susan on the larger tables.

Soooo slow service and they finally rushed the order for a lady sitting there for 30 mins, cos she asked on why her order is so slow? Then they rushed out to go orders first while the rest of the dine in customers waited even longer. Wayyyy too salty and oily, even for an Americanized Chinese place. My family had to keep dunking water to wash their palette. Worse part? The shrimps are rotten! When we finish paying the bill, then told them AND showed them. The lady’s response was, there’s NO reason that the shrimp will be spoilt. I then said it’s best they tell the kitchen. She went to let them know, but still no apology for having the slowest service and serving rotten food. Then tried making small talk to ask if we are tourists. Not sure why the reviews are so good about this place, the reason why we came. Never again.
