Waited an extra hour past the pick up time to get home to cold food. This place can’t handle high volume. They choke. And food isn’t that great. Just one of 2 shows in town. Ice cold spring rolls in picture.

When it comes to a new sushi place to try, it feels like a lottery - you never know what you win if you win at all. This time fortune brought us to the right place. Nice interior, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and great food. We ordered some appetizers and rolls - they were creative and all had a good amount of fish, not overfilled with sauces, and all the ingredients accompanied each other very well. Our son liked his miso soup, calamari, and rice with veggies. We all agreed to come back for hibachi - it looked very entertaining.

Sumo is hands down the best in the area as far as sushi/sashimi/rolls are concerned. The quality of fish is exceptional for being a large scale family restaurant, and the service is excellent. Gina and Tina are absolute rock stars and make us feel as if we’re family on every visit. Give it a try, you’ll be back for more. PS, it’s BYOB!

The server was a complete jerk. I asked for dressing on the side, I asked for no mushroom, I asked for dessert and it came with something I was allergic too which it didn't list on the menu . Everything had to be brought out twice due to him walking away too fast not listening to me . The cook Owen was the best . I will be back but with hopes of better service.
