About Summit Cafeteria

Summit Cafeteria is located at 30 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303, USA, and can be contacted at (404) 681-1277 or +1 404-681-1277. This establishment appears to offer a fusion of Chinese and soul food, providing a wide array of options and proteins at prices that are considered unbeatable by at least one customer.

One reviewer noted that the food was great with many options, describing it as a Chinese and soul food fusion. They also highlighted the cleanliness of the place and the unbeatable prices. However, this customer experienced being harassed for money and food twice while dining in and suggested that it might be better for takeout due to the unhoused situation in the area. They also felt that the staff should ensure customer safety from harassment while eating.

Another customer who visited due to being caught in the rain while looking for a different restaurant had a less favorable experience with the food. They mentioned that the restaurant sells basic meat and two sides or two meats and two sides meals. This reviewer was not impressed with their order, finding bones in the filet fish, the fries to be just adequate, and the mac and cheese to be nondescript. Even the peach soda was disappointing for them, leading them to state they would likely not return unless faced with another severe rainstorm.

For local users in Atlanta, GA, Summit Cafeteria offers a unique blend of Chinese and soul food at potentially very affordable prices. The environment, however, seems to be affected by the surrounding unhoused population, which may make takeout a more comfortable option for some. While one customer praised the food quality and variety, another found their meal to be unimpressive. It appears that experiences may vary, and the dining environment is a significant factor to consider.

We were harassed twice for money and food while sitting and eating. The food is great, a lot of options and proteins. Felt like Chinese and soul food fusion. The prices are unbeatable. The place is well kept and clean. Better for takeout due to the unhoused situation in the area. Workers should ensure their customers aren’t being harassed for money and food while dining in.

I was chased in here by the rain while looking for a different restaurant. They sell your basic meat and two sides or two meats and two sides as the case may be. I was not impressed with what I ordered. The filet fish had bones, the fries adequate and the mac and cheese nondescript. Even the peach soda was lacking. I don't see me going back without another horrendous rainstorm.

Food is good. Put some salt and butter on the grits. Service is great! It's a lot of homeless men around the entrance and some that sits inside restaurant.

In the city again today, 6-4-22. I stopped for a quick bite to eat before going to my destination. I was sitting down with my food by 6:57 am. The restaurant had just opened at 6:30 am, so I was disappointed that my salmon patty wasn't hot. Also, I couldn't figure out the taste; never have I had bland salmon patties/croquettes. Made me wonder if they were frozen. Also, I told the guy who made my plate that I wanted salmon, but he thought I only wanted grits. The grits were piping hot. Only had to use salt & pepper. These were regular, standard grits. No cream or milk. Not a bad spot to eat & people watch if you don't mind the occasional person coming thru the door cursing at someone who was coming in with them; may have been homeless. The service was good. The cashier was eager to hand me my diet ginger ale. The food wouldn't make me return.

Great place to get some good food. Too many homeless people loitering around though pestering you for food.
