My recent lunch experience at Sukhothai in Alamo Ranch presented a vivid tapestry of contrasts. The affordability of the meals was an immediate plus, setting a positive tone as we perused the menu. We began our gastronomic journey with the potstickers and cheese rolls, both of which were served fresh, hot, and were unequivocally delicious. These appetizers hinted at the culinary expertise lying within the kitchen’s walls. The main course further cemented our appreciation, with the Thai fried rice with chicken hitting all the right notes of flavor and spice at a level marked ‘Hot’. It was a symphony of taste that was both exhilarating and comforting. The sesame chicken, with its perfect blend of crispy texture and saucy goodness, was another highlight that deserves praise. However, the dining experience took a turn upon observing the restaurant’s interior conditions. Despite the relatively small and uncrowded space, cleanliness was noticeably neglected. This is the best Thai spot in the area. Curry’s are all great. Cheese rolls and pot stickers were delicious. Thai tea was perfect but the pork fried rice was the star of the meal! Best fried rice in the area! Server was amazing. it’s a smaller restaurant but every seat was full and the one server available took care of everyone with a beautiful smile on her face.

Good food and service. Convenient location away from Alamo Ranch shopping center area. Enjoyed our meal overall. If I we to complain and I am not. The crispy pork in the fired rice was more like jerky and dry. Place needs a good cleaning. We will be back. Overall great experience.

Great little location for Thai food. The pad thai was very good, and the portions are big. The pot stickers are really good, the only thing that wasn't great was the peanut sauce for the spring rolls, it felt like it was only peanut butter spread. The papaya salad was missing a little more crunchy-ness, but it was good. Our server was amazing, and went above and beyond.

We loved this place for a long while. When they first opened the food was good and the service was great. The food has dipped in quality but is still above average. The dip probably comes more from complacency than skill. The service has dropped a lot. We've ordered in, ordered out, and sometimes a mix of both. We were sitting at the table done with our food waiting for our to go order (for the kid at home) and after 30 min I went up to pay and just take it off the check. There it was just sitting on the shelf waiting to be picked up. It was not busy, the information was never passed to us nor were we checked on while we were waiting. That was the final straw, we gave the place several chances because of the early days being so good. Its run by good people but the atmosphere, the service, and the food comes across as tired, complacent, and just getting through the day. A bit worn out over all. They all need a break to recharge and come back fresh.
