About Sue's Kitchen

Sue's Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant located at 23918 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance, CA 90505, USA. They can be contacted at (310) 539-1992 or +1 310-539-1992.

Sue's Kitchen is highly regarded by its customers as the most authentic and best beef noodle house in Torrance and within a 5-mile radius. Patrons consistently praise the amazing and affordable prices, especially for their beef noodle soup, which is considered a great value compared to other establishments. One loyal customer mentions visiting daily for this dish, noting that similar soups could easily cost significantly more elsewhere.

The restaurant's environment is described as "pretty bare bone" with minimal decoration and even "holes to the walls." However, some customers ironically see this as a positive aspect, appreciating that they are paying for good noodles rather than fancy decor.

A specific recommendation is to order the beef noodle soup with wide noodles instead of the regular thin noodles, as some find the wider noodles to taste and feel better. Another highly recommended dish is their Szechwan Style Cold Noodles, described as sweet, slightly sour, and packing a lot of heat, a unique dish that is hard to find nearby.

Overall, Sue's Kitchen is recognized for its very good and "beefy" noodle soup and their must-try cold side dishes, solidifying its reputation as the best in Torrance, CA for authentic beef noodle soup.

Hands down the most authentic, the best beef noodle house in all of Torrance and within 5 miles radius. The price they charge has been and still is amazing in today's economy in 2024 and I come here everyday for their beef noodle soup. Other places would easily charge the same beef noodle soup for 18 dollars a bowl. Like the other reviews said, the restuarant is pretty bare bone and has no decoration, holes to the walls but in my opinion is a plus unironically. Because I'm here to eat good noodles and not here to pay for them to put up fancy decorations. I recommend ordering beef noodle soup with wide noodles instead of regular thin noodles, wide noodles just taste better for me and feels better to chew on. I also recommend their Szechwan Style Cold Noodles. Sweet, a bit sour and packs lots of heat. You can't really find this dish anywhere else closeby.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - unfortunately I feel like their quality has dropped over the years and the soup/sides have become very oily. This used to be our go to place for the last 2 decades but we have frequented it less since it's not always consistent (1) Hot Braised Stew Tendon became a beef and tendon soup rather than just tendon. The noodles and protein was great but the soup was mostly chili oil taste rather than a beef stew flavor. (4) Clear Broth Braised Beef Noodle Soup was good but again, didn't taste much of a beef stew. The beef was tender and soft and the noodles were starting to absorb the flavor of the soup but there was something off about the flavor that didn't feel like a "beef" soup. (66) 2 Meat & 1 Veggie Cold Dish of spicy beef stomach, shredded pork ear, and seaweed. Flavored nicely but all three dishes were really oily and become slighty quesy as we ate through our meal Ambience: 2/5 - while it is a hole in the wall place, there seems to be a lack of upkeep as it feels like the place is becoming more dingy every time we go. While it seems like they wipe the table after each customer, it felt sticky when we sat down. Service: 1/5 - he was very dismissive of us and was annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted the moment we sat down. He was sitting behind the counter watching videos on his phone and you have to walk up to the counter to get anything else Value for price: 4/5 - the price is still reasonable but the quality of the food has gone down

Not the best environment tbh, but you can trust the noodles and appetizers here! Yet to try more, will keep coming back! Also portion of noodles is pretty big for its prize. Owner is very kind!
