About Steam Boys
Steam Boys is a Chinese restaurant located at 1200 2nd Ave N in Nashville, Tennessee (37208), USA. They can be contacted at (615) 678-6336 or +1 615-678-6336.
As a local Chinese restaurant, Steam Boys appears to offer a variety of dishes, with dumplings being a particularly popular item according to customer reviews. One customer mentioned their brothers visit weekly and had highly recommended the place, confirming the deliciousness of the dumplings. They also tried the beef noodle soup, noting it was good and came out quickly and piping hot, satisfying their cravings.
However, another customer found the restaurant to be quite expensive. They enjoyed their beef soup but were surprised by the pricing of the popcorn chicken rice bowl, where the chicken was $7 and adding rice was an additional $7, which they felt was excessive for plain white rice. This customer rated the ambiance as "okay" but noted some unusual aspects, such as bags and backpacks being left in a corner and the absence of visible trash cans. On a positive note, they found the bathroom to be clean and gave an overall rating of 4 out of 5.
Based on these reviews, Steam Boys is a Chinese restaurant known for its tasty dumplings and quick service. However, potential customers should be aware that some items may be considered expensive, particularly side dishes like rice. The ambiance seems casual, with some minor organizational quirks noted. If you're looking for flavorful dumplings and are mindful of potential pricing, Steam Boys might be worth a visit.

Customer Reviews
Food is great! The beef soup I got was good. Very expensive though. My husband got popcorn chicken rice bowl and it was $7 for just the popcorn chicken, and to add rice is another $7, which the server didn't even mention. That's the most expensive plain white rice we've had! Ambiance is okay. It would have been better if there were no bags and backpacks lying on the corner, which I'm not sure why. Also, the place doesn't have trash can anywhere, which is weird. Bathroom is clean at least and I would rate 4 out of 5.
My brothers probably come here every week. They've been hyping this place up since I flew in yesterday. And, they were right! The dumplings are delicious! We also got the beef noodle soup. It's not as flavorful as real Taiwanese beef noodle soup but it's pretty good! Everything came out so quickly, and piping hot! It definitely fulfilled my fall, rainy day cravings. I originally wanted some Xiao Long Bao (dumplings filled with hot soup) but I was so full after sharing those 3 dishes with my brothers. Well, I guess there's my excuse to come back!
The service was incredible. The food was exquisite. I have been to this location before and got the pork and cabbage dumplings. Today I got the shredded beef and rice bowl. Both are amazing dishes.
It was great food, tasted like I was back in Taipei, Taiwan. The beef especially tasted just like it. I would love to open a restaurant like this in Iowa. Your server was not as kind, seemed annoyed, but that can always be fixed.
This is a cozy little spot for some comfort food and atmosphere which is perfect for the fall weather. We stopped here to grab a bite for a late lunch. We started with their vegetarian seared bao which was so fluffy and moist. The filling had a lot of flavor. My husband got the beef shank which he absolutely loved. The soup had a lot of flavor and the noodles had a great texture to them. I ordered the hot dumpling bowl with vegetable dumplings which were originally not on their menu but they were happy to make them. The dumplings had a lot of flavor but they were a little too spicy for me. Overall it was some good food at a very reasonable price. Do try their tiger sugar tea.
