About Spicy Panda

Welcome to Spicy Panda, a Chinese Restaurant located at 2110 Pearland Pkwy ste 188 in Pearland, TX. As a Chinese restaurant, Spicy Panda aims to cater to a diverse range of palates by offering both genuine Chinese dishes and more familiar Americanized Chinese options, as well as food suitable for children.

Many patrons express strong support for Spicy Panda, consistently describing the food as "top tier." For those seeking authentic Chinese flavors, this restaurant is highlighted as a good choice. The menu also includes transitional Americanized Chinese dishes, ensuring there are options that appeal to a broader audience, including those looking for kid-friendly meals.

Customer experiences with service appear to vary, with some noting that it can be inconsistent, particularly when the restaurant is busy. However, despite potential fluctuations in service, many feel that the quality of the food makes a visit worthwhile.

Specific dishes have received mixed reviews. The shrimp kebab was highly praised for its tender shrimp and mild sweet sauce, with one customer claiming to have enjoyed it immensely. In contrast, the "sizzling delicacy" received a more mediocre assessment, with undercooked vegetables (onions and peppers) that were crunchy rather than tender, bland and rubbery squid, and flaky but not falling-apart fish. The shrimp in this dish, however, was noted as tender and the best part, along with the sauce. The fried rice was reported to have hints of soy sauce flavor.

On the more positive side, the sweet & sour chicken received no complaints, and the General Tso's chicken was highly commended, with one customer stating it was the best they had tasted in the area. This strong endorsement suggests that certain signature dishes at Spicy Panda are particularly well-received.

In summary, Spicy Panda offers a diverse Chinese menu with options ranging from authentic dishes to Americanized favorites and kid-friendly choices. While service can be inconsistent, the food is generally considered top tier, with the General Tso's chicken being a standout. The shrimp kebab is also a recommended item. If you are in the Pearland area and looking for a Chinese restaurant with a wide variety of offerings, Spicy Panda is worth considering.

Really love supporting this business. The food is always top tier. If you want genuine Chinese food this is a good place to do it. They also offer transitional americanized Chinese dishes, and food that is kid friendly. Service can be hit or miss especially when they're busy but it's worth the visit regardless.

Ordered the shrimp kebab it was so good. I scoffed that down in about 20secs. The shrimp was tender, the sauce had a mild sweet taste. The sizzling delicacy was mediocre. The veggies weren't cooked enough, it was like eating fresh cut onions and peppers. I would've preferred it to be more translucent and tender, they had lots of crunch. The squid in it was bland, with a rubbery smooth texture. The fish was flaky and soft but didn't fall apart when you picked it up. The shrimp was tender and was the best part of this dish apart from the sauce. The fried rice had hints of soy sauce taste. There were no complaints from the sweet & sour chicken or general tso. The general tso was great, my husband stated it was the best so far he tasted out here and all he orders is general tso. I would return but order different entree

We're very glad to have Spicy Banda in Pearland to enjoy both authentic and Americanized Chinese food! My hubby and I popped in on a cold Saturday day to a very warm and inviting restaurant. The wait staff was so friendly and attentive. Their chicken wings with spicy mayo came out hot and extra crispy. Their eggplant with garlic sauce was cooked to perfection, and their chicken with garlic sauce was steaming hot and went perfectly with fried rice. They also have a drink menu which we'll probably try next time!

We ordered 2 lunch specials (pepper steak and sesame chicken) and twice-cooked pork for takeout. The lunch specials came with steamed/fried rice, egg roll, and soup (egg and wonton). The pork was okay. Not impressed with the wonton soup. The rest of the food was okay.

Edit: just found this as a draft from about 6 months ago. Posting now. We've now been here a few times and each visit does not disappoint. Today I had the Orange Chicken and my husband had a dry hotpot. We both loved the dishes and cannot wait to come back and try the duck. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's a must try.
