About Spicy And Tasty 成都味道

Welcome to Spicy And Tasty 成都味道, a Chinese restaurant located at 715 W Las Tunas Dr, San Gabriel, CA 91775, USA. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Spicy And Tasty 成都味道 focuses on delivering the authentic flavors of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in China, renowned for its bold and often fiery cuisine. For inquiries or to place an order, you can contact them at (626) 888-2998 or +1 626-888-2998.

Based on the limited but informative customer reviews available, Spicy And Tasty 成都味道 offers a menu that bears a notable resemblance to that of a popular Sichuan restaurant in Alhambra, even down to the specific dishes offered. This suggests that diners familiar with authentic Sichuan cuisine from that region might find a similar culinary experience here in San Gabriel. A key characteristic of Sichuan food is its spiciness, and while Spicy And Tasty aims to deliver on this, one reviewer noted that the spice level, while present, might not be as intense as that of the aforementioned original restaurant. This could be a point of consideration for those with a very high tolerance for heat, while potentially being more palatable for those who prefer a slightly milder spiciness.

The service style at Spicy And Tasty 成都味道 is described as "Chinese-style service." This is a somewhat general term but often implies a focus on efficiency and functionality rather than extensive personal interaction. Diners might expect prompt order taking and food delivery, aligning with a more traditional approach to Chinese restaurant service. Another practical aspect mentioned is the use of "paper utensils," which could suggest a more casual dining setting or a focus on ease of service and cleanup.

Convenience is also highlighted, with reviewers noting "easy parking" and "no wait" for seating. This can be a significant advantage, especially in a busy dining area like San Gabriel, making Spicy And Tasty 成都味道 an accessible option for those looking for a quick and hassle-free meal without the frustration of searching for parking or enduring long queues.

In terms of portion sizes and pricing, the feedback indicates that the dishes are "big" and offered at "reasonable prices." This suggests that diners can expect good value for their money, with substantial servings that are satisfying without being overly expensive. This combination of flavorful food, generous portions, and reasonable prices can be a major draw for both individuals and groups.

However, one reviewer provided a contrasting perspective on the portion sizes, stating that the servings are "smaller compared to Rong He," another restaurant likely known for its Sichuan cuisine in the area. This reviewer also noted a layering of ingredients, with "all veggies and fillers beneath the meats up top." This suggests that while the initial presentation might appear generous, the actual quantity of meat might be less than expected relative to the vegetables and other fillers used in the dish. This is an important point for potential customers to consider, especially if they prioritize the meat content of their meals.

Despite this critique on portion composition, the same reviewer did acknowledge that the "flavor is pretty good," indicating that Spicy And Tasty 成都味道 does deliver on the taste aspect of its Sichuan cuisine. This suggests that while the quantity of certain ingredients might be a point of contention for some, the overall flavor profile is still enjoyable and likely authentic to the Chengdu style of cooking.

In summary, Spicy And Tasty 成都味道 in San Gabriel offers a taste of Sichuan cuisine with a menu that shares similarities with a popular restaurant in Alhambra. Diners can expect spicy dishes, though perhaps with a slightly milder heat level than some other authentic Sichuan eateries. The service is described as Chinese-style, and the restaurant provides the convenience of easy parking and typically no waiting for a table. The prices are considered reasonable, and the dishes are generally large, although one review suggests that the meat portions might be smaller relative to vegetables and fillers compared to other establishments. Despite this, the flavor is reported to be quite good, making Spicy And Tasty 成都味道 a potentially appealing option for local users seeking Sichuan flavors in San Gabriel, especially those who value convenience and reasonable pricing.

The menu looks very similar to a popular Sichuan restaurant in Alhambra. Even the dishes. Spicy but not as spicy 🌶️ as the original restaurant. Chinese-style service. Paper utensils. Easy parking and no wait. Big dishes and reasonable prices.

Flavor is pretty good but servings are smaller compared to Rong He, all veggies and fillers beneath the meats up top.

I didn’t think about taking pictures until after I finished eating, it was so delicious! It's full of spiciness, very satisfying, and goes very well with rice. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Especially the brown sugar glutinous rice cake and couple's lung slices, the taste is even better than the ones in Jincheng! Will definitely come again next time!

The roast duck is very good! Although it took 30 minutes to wait for the food to be served, overall it was good
