South Wah Chinese Restaurant

Ordered the lunch special to go. Generous portions and pretty tasty. Was not a fan of the pork fried rice, but it was accidentally added instead of the white rice I asked for. No big deal, mistakes happen. Seems like a great family that runs the restaurant. Will be back next time I’m in the area.

I live in Pennsylvania but drive to Jersey just for South Wah's food. I've been going there since I was a kid. I tried other places in Pennsylvania, but it wasn't as good as south wah. Highly recommend. UPDATE I went to South Wah on the 17th of December in the late evening. There were only two people working; a man and a woman. I ordered shrimp fried rice and shrimp basket. The shrimp basket shrimp were cooked so hard that the shrimp were not edible. The shrimp fried rice was overcooked. The two working were younger than the normal cooks (elderly). This is not like South wah to have bad food. Please keep the younger ones out of the kitchen until they learn from the elders.

The food at this Chinese restaurant is consistently excellent, and they provide a generous amount of sauce with every order. It's always a delight to discover a reliable spot to enjoy delicious meals!
