Wait was horrible but worth it. The food was outstanding. Great hot & sour soup, the string beans had the right amount of "wokhey" to have nice flavor, the steam chicken was flavorful and tender, the deep fried flounder was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, and the last fish was the walnut shrimp which were sweet and savory. All in all, it was a great meal. The place is not much to look at but you are there for the scrumptious food.

definitely an authentic place, no american chinese fare here. :-). There were so much choices and it was hard to settle for what i wanted for lunch. but i decided on the squab and fried flounder. the squab was really tasty and surprisingly meaty. The flounder came with a dipping sauce and that helped since the flounder was very lightly seasoned and it was not fishy at all

I don’t really get why this place is so busy. The food was far from impressive, and the service was bad. Ordered the eggplant dish, which was overly sweet. It wasn’t anything like the savory, balanced flavors you might expect just a strange, sugary mess. The half-salty steamed chicken was a letdown as well. If you’ve had real Chinese-style steamed chicken, it’s suppose to be more yellow (this was plain white) and it was overly fatty. The fried salt and pepper shrimp were decent, but nothing special. I wouldn’t order them again, though. On the plus side, the crab soup was the only thing I actually enjoyed—flavorful. Now, the service… wow. It was practically nonexistent. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and yet we had to flag down the staff for water, and they never checked in on us. At the end of the meal, as we were finishing up, they suddenly decided to pour us water. After we paid, the waitress had the nerve to chase us outside and cuss at us for not leaving a tip. I’ll always tip if the service or food is good, but when it’s bad, like it was here, there’s no way I’m tipping. They definitely can work on their customer service, very rude. For $75, the food wasn’t worth it, and the service made it worse. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
