About Sinh Sinh

Sinh Sinh is a Chinese Restaurant located at 9788 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77036, USA. They can be contacted at (713) 541-2888 or +1 713-541-2888.

According to customer reviews, Sinh Sinh is a well-established and popular spot in the southwest Houston area, attracting both locals and travelers. It's considered a go-to place for family dinners and late-night dining. The restaurant boasts a large menu featuring a wide variety of both Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, which means customers may find some dishes to be exceptional while others might be less impressive. It's suggested that trusting local recommendations could help in choosing the best options.

The service at Sinh Sinh is generally considered great, although some reviewers have noted that the restaurant appears to be understaffed. For safety and convenience, the parking lot is equipped with a security officer on site every night.

Customers have praised the food, with specific mentions of the General Tso’s chicken and curry beef as being very great dishes on their own. However, it was noted that these particular dishes might not complement each other due to the General Tso's chicken having a more overpowering flavor. The curry beef was described as spicy but not overly so. The restaurant is also appreciated for providing generous portions of rice, suitable for sharing between two people, and for refilling water glasses with cold water.

The dining environment at Sinh Sinh appears to be more casual. During off-peak hours, the noise level is manageable, but it's anticipated that it could become loud during busy times, potentially making conversations difficult. The interior design is generally considered nice, although one reviewer suggested that more artwork could enhance the ambiance. Overall, Sinh Sinh offers a wide selection of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine in a casual setting, with attentive service and a focus on customer comfort and safety.

Sinh Sinh is one of the staples for locals and travellers alike in the southwest Houston area, the go-to place for family dinners and late night diners. With such a large menu with a vast variety of dishes, from Chinese to Vietnamese, there'll be plenty of hits and misses. Most of the times the flavors are there, but sometimes it can be quite bland or even unsavory. Trust the locals, they'll know what's good. Service is great overall even though it's noticeably understaffed. Parking lot is safe with a security officer on site every night.

Great food! I ordered the general Tso’s chicken and the curry beef. Very great dishes by them self but I’ll admit these dish are not good together as the Tso is overpowering compared to the curry. The curry beef today was spicy but spice did not linger and bother much. At 3PM there wasn’t many of us there to dine I imagine during peak hours the noise in the room might make regular conversation difficult so this is more of a casual place to dine. In general the design of the room was nice. Would appreciate more artwork around but no biggie. This was one of the only restaurants that served enough rice for two people(see photo). I really like this detail. Also, when the water was refilled it was with cold water👍. Great job!

Upon being seated, we were momentarily taken back to find forks and spoons at the table. But no worries—we came prepared with our own authentic tableware (trusty chopsticks and table runner). The service was top-notch. Glasses of water were refilled before we even realized they were low, and the staff ensured we had a mountain of rice to accompany our meal. We ordered the Beef Curry and General Tso’s Chicken. The portions were impressivel—just how we like them! The curry was delightfully spiced, delivering a bold punch of flavor. I highly recommend giving this a try. The General Tso’s Chicken leaned a bit heavy on the breading, but the overall flavor still good. I would give something else a try next time. Overall, we had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant's location right off Bellaire Blvd makes it super convenient, with easy access and plenty of parking. A solid spot for satisfying your Chinese food cravings—just maybe pack your chopsticks if you’re feeling fancy!

Not a lot of people in this restaurant during peak dinner time. The dishes we ordered were not delicious. Don’t think I’ll be back. 1. Sweet and sour pork : 1/5 Sauce was too thick and too sweet, and the bell peppers were not well cooked. Yuck! 2. Crispy Fried Tofu : 3/5 Tofu was not bad but quality was inconsistent. One of the tofu skin was not edible. 3. Garlic Snow Pea Leaves : 4/5 The only dish I could eat 4. Spicy Chicken 3/5 Don’t think I’ll order again

The food here and the service is very mediocre! This is my second time trying Sinh Sinh and I’m left feeling very underwhelmed each time. We tried the wonton noodle soup last time and this time, we ordered braised beef, pea sprouts, beef ho fun, and a couple other dishes. Nothing was worthy of being mentioned honestly.
