Simply Thai

I was recommended this place by a coworker and boy it did not disappoint. Ordered Panang with chicken, Crab Talay, and Drunken noodle with chicken. Some of the best Thai food I had especially for getting it to go(takeout). I normally don’t write reviews but this place I felt needed to be highlighted. I would come back just for the Crab Talay.

I like ordering here for a quick lunch and the food are guaranteed fresh! The staff are very friendly. It’s a small restaurant more like for pick up and deliveries but they have a long table and chairs if you want to dine in. I like thai food and it’s convenient that they’re walking distance from my home.

This is truly a hole in the wall, mom and pop experience! Owner is very nice and uses only the freshest ingredients including a special injection of love. No fillers, just authentic tasty food. I got the lunch special 11 am - 3 pm and it was a generous portion including an appetizer. Highly recommend and will be back!

I placed an online pickup order for 11:45. After arriving and checking in, I was told there'd be a five-minute wait. However, 15 minutes later, the employee informed me they couldn't provide the food because the owner wasn't there. This confused both me and other customers in the store. The employee explained that the food was ready but they weren't authorized to hand it over. They suggested I call the owner, even though they weren't answering. After explaining that I couldn't return later due to work constraints and that I'd already paid online, the owner finally contacted the employee and allowed them to release the food. Unfortunately, the food was cold when I received it at 1:10.

Start with a positive: lady at the counter was helpful on menu selections but forgot to mention prices don't match paper menu or those on the board - no explanation but just charged more than advertised. Asked for extra spicy Drunken noodles with Chicken and received blend food with under cooked chicken. You see the spices they threw on top. Very disappointed! UPDATE: After owner response, I am even more convinced not to every visit this place. Using 12 years old menu and NOT informing customers of price change goes beyond just bad experience, it is just business in bad faith. Invest in updated menu OR train your staff in communicating the right price BEFORE charging! Oh, while you are at it, look into food preparation as well as owner did not even acknowledge the food issue.
