Silverlake Hunan

Had a wonderful dinner in this restaurant. We had the Hunan Beef and Panang Beef (Thai Style). The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The beef in both dishes was tender and tasty. The restaurant was spotlessly clean.

All these 5 stars about the food being good must either be fake/bought or these people must have not had good Chinese food before. This has got to be some of the worst Chinese food I've ever tasted in my entire life. If you are looking to come here, don't even bother. The Honey Walnut Shrimp looked like roaches, it was fried twice with so much batter. The Panang beef looks like someone just barfed all over it and even tastes like it (sour and acidic). The chow mein was extremely dry and tasted frozen from a grocery store. The only good thing was the kind server. He was extremely patient and gentle. Props to him, shame on the owner and cooks.

This place has great Chinese food! I had the cashew chicken, an egg roll, and egg drop soup. Everything came out very quick, fresh, and scorching hot. The dinner portions were large and extremely filling. Honestly you could get 2 meals out of it. I also sampled my husband's general tso's chicken and found it to be crispy and delicious as well.

My Mom and I had dinner here the other night and the service and food were great!! We had their crab puffs (crab yummy as they list on their menu), lettuce wraps, kungpao shrimp and chicken pad Thai. It did not disappoint! It's going to be the place I compare everyone else to now that I've had their food. You should definitely go try them out!

Service started out slow and the food got 3 stars. I ordered Mongolian Shrimps, not bad but with hot sauce, it was much better. In the reference to Ray's review, The place looks decent to me and very comfortable as you can see in the picture.
