Sicilian Delight

Visiting NY for the first time in years, I took the grandkids to the mall to go to Bounce. We stopped at this pizza place because it advertised itself as NY pizza, which I hadn't had for a long time. Delicious! The girl who worked the counter was friendly and fast, the slices were hot and just like I remembered from my youth in Brooklyn. My granddaughter, who lives with me in North Dakota, almost swooned when she took her first bite. That was exactly the reaction I was hoping for and it gave me a little thrill that I could show her that mid west pizza is not the same as the real deal from NY. Prices were good for a mall, plenty of seating, good service, what else can you ask for?

First they lost the on line order. Which there was no compensation for there mistake. Making my family and I wait. Probably the worst pizza I ever had. Cheap cheese. Sorry gave it a shot. I lost !!!!

The pizza is convenient if you are in the neighborhood, but average at best and they often get it wrong. Don't even think about ordering when they are busy such as weekends, and especially not during football games! And if you want to eat, better pick it up rather than delivery. But now is the last straw. We waited two hours for delivery, went there to complain, and they hadn't even started on our order yet. Manager (owner?) was extremely rude to us like it was our fault because we ordered for delivery. Told us if we ordered pickup it would have been 20 minutes. Won't have that problem again - never giving them another dollar.

Was there today with a friend. There was a line of about 3 women in front of us that had placed there order and so did we. Here’s the issue. Had to be approximately 10 minutes standing there listening to who I guess is the owner playfully flirting with the elderly women ahead of us. In the meantime the young employee is scrambling to get the orders together which is not really that difficult when it’s fast food. And yes, I do know what that entails I worked in fast food when I was a teenager. The owner instead of goofing around and being loud with the other customers should have helped his employee. As I walked away I could hear him say wait it’s ready. Totally unacceptable and totally unprofessional.

This was a great slice and an amazing bread stick - really pleasant service as well!
