Based on customer reviews, Sichuanese Cuisine has garnered an overall positive rating, with particular strengths in its food quality and service. One reviewer gave the restaurant an 8 out of 10 overall, with the food also receiving an 8 out of 10. They described the food as consistently "very good," noting that while it might not be "life changing," it is reliably "solid and good," and they couldn't think of any negative aspects. This suggests a high level of consistency and quality across their menu. The reviewer specifically mentioned several dishes they frequently return for, including the Dan Dan Noodles and the Pepper Chicken or Tofu, indicating these are signature or particularly well-executed items. They also praised the Sesame Chicken, noting that the smaller pieces enhance the enjoyment of the dish.
Accessibility is another notable feature of Sichuanese Cuisine, receiving an 8 out of 10 rating. The restaurant is located entirely on the ground level, making it easily navigable for individuals with mobility challenges. While there is a curb to access the entrance, the reviewer believes there is a ramp available. Additionally, parking is conveniently located right in front of the restaurant. The ambiance is described as calm, with no loud music, which might be preferable for those seeking a quieter dining environment. The reviewer humorously mentioned some "yelling from the kitchen" but noted that this is quite normal in many restaurant settings and not a significant detractor.
The service at Sichuanese Cuisine is highly praised, receiving a 9 out of 10 rating. Customers report that the food arrives "instantly," suggesting efficient and prompt service. The staff is consistently described as "very kind and attentive," contributing to a positive and welcoming dining experience.
The ambiance of the restaurant received a 7 out of 10 rating. As mentioned, the absence of music creates a quieter atmosphere, which one reviewer found personally fine but acknowledged might feel a "little quiet" or even "awkward" for some diners. This suggests a more traditional and less overtly stylized dining environment, focusing on the food and conversation rather than background noise.
Parking is rated favorably at 8 out of 10. The availability of parking directly in front of the restaurant is a significant convenience, especially in the often-busy Chinatown-International District. While the parking spots might be "a little tight," the fact that it is free and immediately accessible is considered worthwhile.
The price point of Sichuanese Cuisine is also well-regarded, receiving an 8 out of 10. Customers describe it as "very fairly priced," indicating good value for the quality and quantity of food offered.
Another reviewer echoed the positive sentiments about the food, giving the Spicy Pepper Chicken an 8 out of 10, noting that while it wasn't overly spicy, it was still good. This suggests that even dishes known for their heat might be adjusted to cater to a broader range of spice preferences, while still maintaining good flavor. However, this reviewer's experience with the Scallion Pancake was less favorable, rating it a 2 out of 10. Interestingly, the restaurant owner reportedly tried the pancake and stated that it was traditional from Chengdu and very good, highlighting potential differences in taste preferences or expectations regarding authenticity.
The service received a perfect 10 out of 10 from this second reviewer, further reinforcing the earlier positive feedback about the staff's attentiveness and friendliness. The server also recommended trying the hot pot on a return visit, indicating that hot pot is another specialty or popular offering at Sichuanese Cuisine.
In conclusion, Sichuanese Cuisine in Seattle's Chinatown-International District appears to be a highly recommended Chinese restaurant, particularly for those seeking authentic and consistently good Sichuan food. Signature dishes like the Dan Dan Noodles and Pepper Chicken/Tofu are frequently praised, and the Sesame Chicken is also a notable option. The restaurant offers excellent and prompt service, is quite accessible, provides convenient and free parking right in front, and is considered very fairly priced. The ambiance is calm and quiet, which might appeal to some but could be less lively than other dining environments. Additionally, the restaurant seems to offer hot pot, suggesting another facet of Sichuan culinary tradition to explore. Local users looking for a reliable and satisfying Sichuan dining experience in a convenient location with friendly service and reasonable prices would likely find Sichuanese Cuisine to be an excellent choice.

Overall Rating - 8/10 🍜Food - 8/10 The food is all very good, nothing life changing, but very solid and good. I can’t think of anything bad to say about the food. I have been coming here for a long time and there are a few things specific I would come for, the Dan Dan Noodles and the Pepper Chicken or Tofu. The sesame chicken is also quite good as the pieces are smaller so you don’t have to deal with these giant pieces, I personally love the smaller pieces. 👩🦼➡️Accessibility 8/10 It is quite accessible, the restaurant is all ground level, there is a curb to get up to the restaurant but I think there is a ramp. The parking is also right in front. There is no loud music so it is quite calm, there is some yelling from the kitchen but that is all quite normal lol. 🧑🍳Service 9/10 The service is fantastic, the food comes out instantly. The staff is very kind and attentive. 🍽️Ambiance 7/10 As mentioned above there is no music so it is a little quiet, it may be awkward for some but personally it is fine. 🚗Parking 8/10 There is parking right in front, it is a little tight, but right it free and right in front so it is worth it. 💵Price 8/10 Very fairly priced!
Spicy pepper chicken not so spicy but good, 8/10 Scallion pancake was ok, 2/10 but the restaurant owner tried it and said it was traditional from chengdu and very good. Service was 10/10 and the person that waited on us said come back for the hot pot.
Did a togo order from here. Very nice food, good packaging and I am in love with the tofu dishes. Will definitely go there for dine in.
I was craving some Chinese food & came across this place & I’m glad that I did! The first time I visited I just ordered the pepper chicken, which is probably one of the best versions I’ve ever tasted. The crispiness to it was on point & it was cooked very well. I believe it’s their signature dish & what they’re known for? The second time I stopped by I got the pepper chicken again, along with the mongolian beef & combination fried rice (with no pork). Everything was delicious! Also, the ladies there are always extremely nice & sweet! Great customer service.
Amazing food I’ve been coming here since a baby I hope this establishment never closes ❤️ I recommend their bok choy and fried dumplings/spicy beef chow mein!! You won’t be disappointed 🤤😋
