This suggests that Sichuan Spicy Bay provides excellent value for money, offering substantial servings that are likely satisfying and allow for enjoyment beyond a single meal.
For those who appreciate the signature spiciness of Sichuan cuisine, Sichuan Spicy Bay seems to strike a perfect balance. The long wait to get in was well worth it. Waited over an hour for a table. All tables were full when we arrived, while we were there, and still full with a line waiting after we left. The food was very big portions for 2 of us. Still a lot left over to take home after. Food was the perfect level of spicy for me. I like it hot but not burn your lips off hot. Service was on top of everything, even with the place being so busy. Will definitly visit again when in town.b
A quite small restaurant, but there's sufficient parking available in the plaza. It appears that there are only two servers working, yet they handle the busy atmosphere effectively; we waited about half an hour for a table. The food is authentic, making the wait reasonable. After my meal, I noticed I didn't feel thirsty, which suggests that there might not be any MSG used. Highly recommended!
The quality of the food deteriorates a lot since its opening. The spicy chicken contains too many leftover scraps and all we have is the numbing flavor. And we've waited 30+ minutes for getting served. It's cheap but not worthy.
The flavors are quite authentic, and the portion sizes are just right. The taste is robust but not overly spicy. The frog meat is average, and the ox tongue has too much cornstarch. The kidney dish tastes great. The service is friendly and efficient. It’s pretty good for Los Angeles.
I have to say the taste was really good, truly the authentic flavor of Sichuan. However, they don’t accept reservations or phone bookings, and you have to go to the restaurant to get a spot, which is a bit inconvenient. We ordered three dishes, and each portion was quite large and very spicy. The service and taste were both good. The only downside was the wait for a table—we waited for 40 minutes.
