About Sichuan Palace

Sichuan Palace is a Chinese Restaurant located at 60 Federal Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15235, USA. As a local Chinese restaurant, it offers a range of Chinese cuisine for the community.

Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at Sichuan Palace appear to be mixed. One long-time customer expressed that the food remains excellent, even after many years, suggesting a history of quality. They noted that the atmosphere is not fancy, giving it a rating of 3 out of 5.

A more recent first-time visitor shared a contrasting experience. While they appreciated the good service and the friendly nature of the owners, who run it as a small business, they had reservations about the food and atmosphere. The atmosphere was described as quiet but with close proximity to other diners, making conversations easily overheard due to the lack of background music or ambiance.

Regarding the food, this customer found the Beef Lo Mein to be "really good," but the Chicken Teriyaki was a significant disappointment, especially considering its price. The reviewer described the Chicken Teriyaki as lacking in meat, tasting poor, and not resembling typical Chicken Teriyaki due to the absence of sauce. They felt it was overpriced for the portion and quality received. This customer expressed their intention to not return for some time, hoping for future improvements.

In summary, Sichuan Palace is a small, locally owned Chinese restaurant in Pittsburgh. While it has a history of serving good food according to one review, a recent experience indicates potential inconsistencies in food quality, particularly with dishes like the Chicken Teriyaki. The atmosphere is described as basic and quiet. For those interested in supporting a small business and trying their dishes, Sichuan Palace can be contacted at (412) 241-7110 or +1 412-241-7110. I forgot how good their food is! It's been yrs but they are still the best Chinese I've had! It's not a fancy place, that's why I gave the atmosphere a 3.

First time coming here so here is my honest thoughts. The service was good its a small buisness run by some really good people. I love supporting small buisnesses for sure but I have to be honest about the food and atmosphere. The atmosphere was quiet with a bunch of people right next to you and you can hear there converstaions etc. Since the owners dont have any background music or ambience so its bit awkward. The food was a disappointment. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein and Chicken Teriyaki. The Beef Lo Mein was really good but the Chicken Teriyaki was terrible and way expensive for what it was. As you see by the pictures the Chicken Teriyaki barely had any meat on it and tasted terrible and nothing like Chicken Teriyaki at all. There was 0 sauce or anything. It was a little bit meat on a chicken for 12 dollars which is insane. I go to a Asian resturant to get authentic food and I was massively disappointed. There really good people but you cant be charging me 12 dollars for that. I personally wont be going back there for some time. Im going to give it some time and hope for some improvment since its my closest Asian resturant.

What's for lunch? (Saturday~ March 14, 2020) Sesame chicken with spicy General Tso's sauce!!! Sweet iced tea for the drink!!! Yum Yum Yum!!! 🍽😋🥢 The woman who usually waits on us was there & things usually turn out the best with her!! I feel like we are friends!! 🥰 Meal specs: As usual... I ordered the sesame chicken because I like the chicken that comes with that meal better than the chicken that comes with the General Tso's chicken meal!! It's less breading & better chicken!! I love their spicy General Tso's chicken sauce!!! They will make it spicy if that’s what you like... like myself!! The crab rangoon was also good!! It was crispy and the filling was creamy & a good balance!! Not too sweet & not to cream cheesy!! Drink specs: Their sweet iced tea is really good here!!! It's sweet but it doesn't taste like you're drinking sugar!! This day it was perfect!! Bon appétit!!! 👍🏼 Pictures📸

I ordered Uber Eats delivery from this restaurant. The entree had great taste and great value, with a large portion size for the price. --- Entree: Eggplant Tofu Price: $10 Weight: 787 grams (entree) Taste: 4/5 Definitely a restaurant that serves one of the better Chinese eggplant dishes in the Pittsburgh area. The sauce is sweet, savory, and just about the right consistency. Tofu is cooked well and goes along deliciously with the sauce. Eggplant taste is also on-point and blends deliciously with the overall entree. Docking minor points because the texture of the eggplant was a little too mushy but overall much better than comparable dishes in the area. Value: 5/5 At $10 this dish is a superb value. Large chunks of eggplant and tofu show that this restaurant didn't skimp on ingredients and you definitely get your money's worth. 78g/$ is a solid amount of food for your dollar.

The cream cheese ragoon was good, but your stir fries are not made to order with thick coats of batter. Can't see why I'd visit here again over a 15 dollar buffet.
