Sichuan Jin River

Located in downtown Rockville, Maryland, Sichuan Jin Restaurant specializes in authentic Sichuan cuisine. My wife and I have been loyal customers for over 20 years, and our recent visit reminded us why. Don't expect fancy decor or ample seating, but if you crave spicy Chinese food, especially Sichuan dishes, this restaurant delivers. Sichuan Jin's standout features include homemade-style cooking with generous portions, making it ideal for intimate gatherings with family and friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Sichuan flavors through every dish. During our recent visit, we ordered four dishes, including the delicious beef noodle soup and a dessert: crispy pumpkin cake with sweet red bean paste. A must-try! Consider try it before dinner – you won't regret it. The price was approx. $50 per person, well worth it considering the generous portions and leftovers. Overall, I strongly recommend Sichuan Jin Restaurant for Sichuan food enthusiasts.

The food was super delicious!! Everything was quick and service was great and prices were so affordable. I highly recommend this place for Chinese food. There is a wide selection of choices to choose from.

This is our 2nd time dining. We parked close to restaurant and therefore it was free. Service was QUICK and waiter was attentive. > Shredded Pig ear with Hot Chilli oil is tasty and there is NO jelly like stuff like other restaurant. We love it. > Cumin Pork Intestine was DELICIOUS. It was crispy on outside and tender inside. Intestine was cleaned pretty well and not smelly at all. (I am very sensitive to smell) > Duck blood aka Pork blood hot pot taste EXACTLY the same as sichuan flavor hotpot sauce packet from Great Wall grocery store. Quite tasty and it included tribes, intestines and pig blood. > Lomain pork taste like typical chinese takeout. We were there for food so we were not paying attention to the atmosphere that they lack. We will definitely go there again to try other items in their menu.

Green bean is super good. Servers are kind but little bit hard to call them(I think our table is too located too inside)

The food was good but not so much the service. I couldn’t figure the numbers due to my lenses and so just added a tip amount I could round figure to the total. The waiter came back asking for more. He later bought a bill with percentages on it. I have now reduced the original bill total including the tip amount to read as $121/- only . Tip is not something that you demand but is a token paid for promptness, courtesy and overall service that also includes the attitude of the server. I see that others have also written reviews about the waiters. Today is 10/21/2024.
