Really delicious Sichuan food that is presented nicely and not overly spicy. Very popular spot on weekends. I went right when it opened on Saturday at 5pm and it quickly became packed with people. The food is great and pretty big portions with lots of options. Tasted authentic too, overall a great spot for Sichuan Chinese food.

It doesn’t get more authentic than this place. Sichuan Impression absolutely delivered on every entree I tried. Highly recommend the Mapo Tofu and Kung Pao Chicken.

Honestly, such a unique experience. The food is genuinely a combination of thorough flavors of garlic, ginger, Sichuan peppercorns, excellent preparation, heating consistency, amongst the mapo tofu, boiled chili fish, cold impressive noodles, and stir fried chicken. Although the service can differ between how busy the place is, overall, the food and the close atmosphere to have with your guests makes this place a must have for honestly some of the best Sichuan food I have ever had, especially in Orange County. The prices are also reasonable, ranging $15-25 for most dishes and portions are fair.

First impression, the place was packed on a Saturday night. Menu are scanned on the table, the guys do some around to get your order. We got mild for most of our dishes. The numbing chilies did it’s job. We really liked the beef noodle casserole and spicy wontons. The lamb mutton dish was good, since it’s mutton, the meat is not as tender. Overall we enjoyed all the dishes. Three dishes plus a beer. Total was about $40 per person.

Got the short ribs, intestines, and chicken wonton soup. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. My favorite was the stir fried intestines because it has more sichuan pepper and so that mala taste was stronger.
