About Siam Siam

Siam Siam, located at 1113 Weiland Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089, offers a range of Thai dishes, providing a dining experience that balances flavor and service. This restaurant aims to bring authentic Thai cuisine to the local community.

Customer reviews highlight the restaurant's flavorful offerings, particularly the Drunken Noodles, which are described as bold and spicy. However, it's noted that the spice level might be higher than in other establishments, so customers preferring milder dishes should request adjustments. The lunch portions are considered generous and reasonably priced. The Thai iced tea is also praised for complementing the spicy dishes.

While some dishes receive high marks, others have received mixed reviews. The crab Rangoon is considered decent, but the accompanying dipping sauce is described as oily and bland. The cashew chicken is noted for its lean chicken and fresh vegetables, but some customers feel it lacks flavor and sufficient cashews. The Mongolian beef, on the other hand, is generally well-received for its tender meat.

The service at Siam Siam is consistently praised for its friendliness and efficiency. The atmosphere is described as pleasant, with comfortable tall booths and elephant-themed decor. The restaurant does not appear to serve alcoholic beverages, focusing instead on water and other non-alcoholic drinks. While the background music was not to everyone's taste, it was played softly.

Overall, Siam Siam offers a good option for Thai cuisine in the area, with some dishes standing out for their flavor and value. For inquiries or reservations, you can contact them at (224) 352-2951 or +1 224-352-2951.

I stopped in while in the area for work. I ordered the drunken noodle with chicken and a Thai iced tea. Both were delicious, with the drunken noodle serving up a bold and spicy flavor. It was on the spicier side compared to other places, so if you prefer a milder dish, it might be worth asking to adjust the spice level. The lunch portion was generous, perfect for a hearty meal, and the Thai iced tea complemented the dish well, balancing out the spice. Everything was extremely reasonably priced. Service was excellent—staff were friendly, and the food came out hot and quickly. Overall, a great spot for flavorful Thai food with attentive service.

Food: The food was decent. We had crab Rangoon as an app - and it was good, but I have had better. However their dipping sauce was not good. It was oily and bland not the consistency of most places I got my usually go to meal - the cashew chicken. It was good but I’ve had better. The chicken was lean with no suspicious pieces and the vegetables were crisp and fresh, just wish it had a bit more flavor and a bit more cashews. The mister got the Mongolian beef and also liked that. The meat was tender with no suspicious meats. Service: the service was good. It was not busy when we dined. I don’t believe they serve adult beverages, so we drank lots of water. Atmosphere: the atmosphere was nice too. I liked the tall booths (gave you privacy) and the elephant art on the walls. I did not care for the light music they played lol, but it was softly playing in background. It’s hard to find a good Thai restaurant in the area. This one is good but for the best must travel too far!

Food was okay. Looked like they didn't want any customers there. Not sure what was going on with the lady who served us. She was kind of rushing to get us out. She didn't show up for long time after taking the order and I had to call someone else to get some extra plates. She gave the check without even asking if we need anything else or offering any dessert menu.

We dinned in for dinner on a busy Friday night, and the service was good. I tried the tom yum Soup and the spicy salmon entree. I also tasted a tofu chow mein dish and a chicken curry dish. The curries in both dishes were delicious, and the spiciness was spot on. The curries were creamy and thick with tons of flavor. The chow mein could have had more noodles, and the tom yum soup was good, but I have had better. The sauce that came with the salmon dish was outstanding, but the preparation of the salmon was not what I was expecting. The salmon tasted fried, maybe? It was very crispy on the outside, and the texture was unexpected for salmon. I didn't enjoy the crispy salmon and would have preferred it cooked soft. I would definitely be back to try more of their curry entrees.

This place is amazing. Price and portions are very fair and the flavor is delicious. I throw a lil siracha on the pad Thai and mmm
