Based on the limited recent customer reviews available online, experiences at Shun Xing Chinese Restaurant appear to be contrasting, with significant differences in opinions regarding food quality and the restaurant's ambiance. Potential customers should carefully consider these perspectives.

One customer expressed extreme dissatisfaction with their meal, describing it as "probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had." They ordered sweet and sour chicken and reported that the dish lacked the vegetables shown in the restaurant's picture display. The chicken itself was described as being akin to "chicken nuggets." Furthermore, this reviewer found the fried rice to be simply "white rice covered in soy sauce," indicating a lack of proper preparation. A particularly concerning aspect of their experience was the condition of the condiments, as they described the packets of plum sauce as "old" and tasting like "play dough." They also noted that these expired condiments were "discolored," which they found highly disappointing and unusual.

In contrast, another customer had a more positive experience with the food itself. They reported that the food was "fresh and hot" and specifically mentioned the absence of "hard pieces of chicken" that they had encountered at other restaurants with the same name (suggesting this might be a chain or a restaurant with a common name). This reviewer also praised the "nice flavor" and the "variety of rice options" available. However, despite their positive feedback on the food, they did express significant concerns about the restaurant's interior, stating that it was "unkept" and "very unpleasant looking inside." This negative impression of the environment led them to give a four-star rating instead of a higher one, indicating that the ambiance detracted from their overall experience.

The available reviews provide conflicting information about the food quality, with one customer being highly critical and the other finding it fresh and flavorful. Both reviewers, however, offer insights into other aspects of the restaurant. One highlights a potential issue with the accuracy of menu depictions and the quality of ingredients and condiments, while the other specifically points out a significant problem with the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant's interior.

Information regarding specific services beyond takeout and potential dine-in (implied by the comment on the interior) is not available in the provided text. There is no mention of delivery services, online ordering, or catering options. Similarly, details about any unique features of Shun Xing Chinese Restaurant, such as signature dishes, special preparation techniques, or a particular style of Chinese cuisine, are not provided. Furthermore, the text does not contain any information about current promotional offers, discounts, or special deals that the restaurant might be advertising.

In conclusion, the recent customer feedback for Shun Xing Chinese Restaurant in Martinsville, VA, presents a concerning picture. While one reviewer found the food fresh and flavorful, another described it as the worst Chinese food they had ever eaten, citing issues with preparation, ingredient quality, and expired condiments. Additionally, the negative comments about the restaurant's unkept and unpleasant interior are a significant factor for potential dine-in customers to consider. For local users, it is important to weigh these contrasting opinions. The positive food review offers some hope, but the severe criticism of food quality and the negative assessment of the environment raise considerable concerns about the overall dining experience at Shun Xing Chinese Restaurant.

As a Chinese restaurant in Martinsville, Shun Xing serves the local community. However, the available feedback suggests potential inconsistencies in food quality and a notable issue with the upkeep of the restaurant's interior. Local users may want to consider these points carefully before deciding to order from or dine at this establishment.

This was probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. The meat dish had no vegetables as shown in their picture display. The chicken was just chicken nuggets pretty much. The fried rice was just white rice covered in soy sauce. The packets of plum sauce were old, they tasted like play dough. Never experienced a place that was handing out expired discolored packets of condiments. Disappointing.

Food was fresh and hot, no hard pieces of chicken like you sometimes get at other restaurants by the same name. Nice flavor and variety of rice options. I only 4 starred this because of how unkept the restaurant was and very unpleasant looking inside.

I had ordered the Lunch special Curry Chicken w/Onions, minus the onions so they filled up my entrée with carrot and another vegetable which as you can see was a significant amount more than meat. I guess I should have asked for NO VEGGIES.

I ordered the chicken lo mein combo that came with fried rice and an egg roll that had plenty of flavor and was a huge portion of food for 9$. I also ordered 10 fried wontons and they had the perfect amount of filling and crunch! My total was 15.95. A price I can't beat anywhere else I eat! Thanks!!
