My partner, on his way back from the restroom was thanked for his service and the good meal as well-meaning white patrons exited to their operas and orchestras. Simply because he was Asian. Be wary of the friend who suggests such a place. Tawdry is the quintessential word to describe the decor. And the food is middling. I don’t remember a single dish two days later. Minimal taste and flavor. And the prices. Yikes! You can get Michelin meals on a similar budget.

The food has gotten incredibly mid. It's still an important historic place and a beautiful dining room but the food is bananas overpriced. Comparable to any typical Chinese fast food place with orange chicken that costs $12 not $40. Also I know rich white people can't handle spice but if a table orders four things all with the chili next to it on the menu at least one of them should have a little heat. Never left a bad review before but we should rise up against this fall from grace.
Went here for dinner recently. It’s an upscale Chinese food restaurant on the Upper West Side. It is very spacious and nicely decorated. There are many servers and they are all very attentive. The clientele is a lot of older people and families. We started off with soup dumplings and fried shrimp balls which were both delicious. We also got Chinese broccoli, crispy beef, General Tso’s chicken, walnut shrimp, fried rice and they brought another vegetable dish out to us. Everything was really good. Portions were a good size. Good for sharing. Definitely the type of place to go to on a special occasion with a group. Check it out.
